4 of 36

Late work:

  • Assignments are expected to be turned in on-time. Assignments will be accepted up to three days late. Students will lose 10 points each day. After three days, late assignments will NOT be accepted for credit.
  • For anything other than Google Classroom, students need to email the teacher & notify them. Examples: IXL, desmos, EdPuzzle, Flocabulary, etc.

Students should be an advocate for themselves. If they don’t understand an assignment or feedback from a teacher, it is their job to reach out and ask for help. Email the teacher, arrange a time to meet, or make comments in Google classroom. *Tip: Students should email teachers from their school email account. Messages from any personal accounts may end up in our spam folder, which we do not regularly check.

Self-advocacy

Learning Tips From 8th Graders:

  • “I use an agenda and record all of my homework.”
  • “I organized my Google Classroom in order of my classes.”
  • “I use Google calendar for due dates.”
  • “I bookmarked the homework blog.”

7 of 36

Complete all work with integrity: practicing academic honesty, avoiding plagiarism, turning in work on time, doing your best work, showing others HOW to get the answer but not giving them the answer.
