These are my hands!
I can wave them and wiggle my fingers.
Salient Features: Hands have a wrist, a palm, four fingers, and a thumb.

These are my feet!
I can stomp them and wiggle my toes.
When my hands and feet touch things, I can feel textures.
Salient Features: Feet are oval shaped and have a sole and toes.

Some textures feel smooth, when I slide my fingers over them.
An apple has skin that is thin and smooth.
Salient Features: Apples have smooth skin and are round. They also have a dimple at the top with a short stem.

Some textures feel rough, and my fingers get stuck.
An orange's skin is thick and rough.
Salient Features: Oranges are round and have thick orange-colored skin. This orange has a stem and a leaf.

A bar of soap has a surface that is slippery and smooth.
Salient Features: Bars of soap are shaped like rectangles and fit in the palm of your hand.

A sponge has a surface that is bumpy and rough.
Salient Features: Sponges are rectangular-shaped cleaning aids that are made from a soft, absorbent material.

A spoon has a scoop that is round and smooth.
Salient Features: Spoons have a long skinny handle and a curved scoop.

A fork has prongs that are pointy and rough.
Salient Features: Forks have a long handle, and four tines or prongs used to poke and pick up food.

Salient Features: Towels are shaped like long rectangles.

A hairbrush is scratchy and rough.
Salient Features: Hairbrushes have long handles and bristles.

Salient Features: Doors are rectangle shaped with a knob to turn and hinges to swing the door open and closed.
