2nd Grade Homework

  • 2nd grade follows the district homework policy which limits the amount of homework given to students and discourages homework over weekends and breaks. http://www.srvusd.net/.

  • Homework will include nightly reading, start date TBD.
  • More information to follow.

Birthdays/Treats

Due to food allergies, edible/food birthday treats are not permitted.

If you would like to send something, please instead consider:

    • Donating a book to the Live Oak Library
    • Gift bags containing pencils, stickers,

or other fun non-food items

**Please do not send invitations to the classroom.**

Lunch Procedures

  • Students can bring lunch, or lunch is provided by the school district for free for any child who would like it.
  • Forgotten lunch may be dropped off in the office by 10:15am and picked up by your child in the “Forgotten Lunches” cart (inside of the MPR). Make sure lunch and snack bags are clearly labeled with your child’s name and room #.
  • Please check the Child Nutrition website for menus.
  • Especially on minimum days- please pack snacks to be eaten at recess.

Drop off Before/After School

  • Teachers are on duty 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after a school day.
  • Students may NOT be on the playground before 7:45 am. Also, no one is allowed to play on the play structure or use swings before or after school.
  • Carpool drop off/pick up in the kindergarten area is not available to drivers dropping off students. If you would like to use the kindergarten parking lot please park your car and walk to the gate to wait when dropping off or picking up your child.
  • If you would like to carpool please drive to the front of the school to drop off your child.

After School Pick up Procedures

    • Front of school dismissal is for carpool only! Please no pedestrian pick up at carpool!!
    • Be sure to display your child’s first name and grade on a placard on the passenger side dashboard/visor until your child is the car.
    • Students in after school daycares will meet their Vanpools in the Kinder area after school.
    • Kids’ Country students line up by Kindergarten fence and are checked in by Kids’ Country staff.
    • Walkers can meet their parent/caregiver at either of the blacktop gates.

** Safety is always our main concern. Please support this by following the pick up procedures☺
