Estimated attendance:  35 teams, 700 athletes and 2000+ spectators

Seton swim team raised $5,000 for our school!

This year we are expected to raise more than $5,000.

  • • $250 - announcements, small logo on banner/website
  • • $500 - vendor tent, announcements, medium logo on program/banner/website and logo on program as “Program Sponsor”
  • • $1000 - vendor tent, announcements, larger logo on program/banner/website, and logo on program “Officials Sponsor”
  • • $2500 – vendor tent, announcement, “sponsored by” logo on program/banner/website as “Awards sponsor”
  • Note - QR code can be put on program for all sponsorship levels.  Gifts in Kind (food, drinks, etc), or cash donations, to offset event costs are always welcome!  
  • The banner of all sponsors will be on the wall of the East Entrance (which is the ONLY entrance for all teams and spectators).  Note - All Banners must get prior approval from ASU/SDA.  ��

Athletes Understand Healthy Triangle

  • -Have open communication with parent and coach about your goals and aspirations�

  • A healthy triangle promotes a positive environment

Coaches communicate with athletes through the school approved Seton app or school email which is closely monitored. Coaches and athletes will never text or communicate any other way. They will not follow eachother on social media nor use personal emails. All of this is to keep your athletes safe! There are no exceptions to this rule.

Coaches have put their personal social media on private. Please monitor your athlete’s communications and social media. Colleges and coaches do look at athlete social media when college applications are submitted.

Athlete Strategies for Success

Eat healthy!

Carb around meets,

Protein after practice,

Healthy snacks (apple and peanut butter, avocado, fruits and vegies and hard-boiled eggs)

Bring water to practice in an insulated water bottle

Sip on electrolytes before practice

Get 8-10 hours of sleep

No Energy Drinks�BANNED!!!!

Some of the dangers of energy drinks include:

Dehydration (not enough water in your body).

Heart complications (such as irregular heartbeat and heart failure).

Anxiety (feeling nervous and jittery).

Insomnia (inability to sleep).

WATER

Sports-related SCA accounts for 40% of all SCAs age of 18 and under.

23,000 people under 18 experience an out-of-hospital SCA each year.

It is vital to be prepared and properly trained to appropriately respond in an emergency.

There are 350,000+ SCAs every year in the U.S. Nearly 90% are fatal.

You will be asked to leave practice if you do not bring the proper hydration!

Potential SCA warning signs

  • Fating/syncope
  • Excessive fatigue
  • Chest pain
  • Lightheadedness/dizziness
  • “Heart racing” with exercise

With CPR & AED, The odds of survival increase dramatically.

Quick actioin:2-3 minutes is needed to save a life.

Know the rules on deck and at meets

  • Wear shirt and shorts  when entering and leaving pool
  • During meets shirt and shorts between races or a coat to keep muscle warm
  • Stay hydrated (no Gatorade or sugary drinks.)
  • Ban on energy drinks on deck and at meets. NCAA rules too. They will test you. 
  • Know your Seton student/parent handbook : no public displays of affection, no hugging, kissing, shoulder rubs or physical contact in any manner deemed inappropriate by your school, AIA and the NFHS
  • Never argue with an official at meets
  • If you are DQ’ed listen to the official, then talk to your coach 
  • No jewelry 
  • Get 8 hours of sleep�

Grades

  • Keep up on your grades: weekly eligibility will be reviewed by school administrators. Coaches expect  a 76% and higher in all classes in order to compete.
  • The school requires 70% to stay eligible in the athletic program.

Varsity Letters

The minimum requirements to be eligible for a Varsity Letter are:

Attend 90% of Seton practices

Attend all dual meets in which you are entered during the season. Exceptions include personal health, safety, family and school teacher requirement.

Be selected to be on the State Championship team in a individual race, relay and relay alternative.

Automatically earning or contributing to an AIA provisional or automatic state qualifying time

Scoring a designated number of individual or relay pints for the team during a varsity competition

Exhibiting excellent sportsmanship, continuous attendance at practice, and education as determined by the

coaching staff.
