SUMMARY:

20 of 28

20

  1. Reading furniture is suitable for a special library in the AFU library
  2. In special library Staff are more than academic library
  3. Dissertations are arranged according to the accession number in the AFU library
  4. Enough reading space is available in a special library i.e. AFU library.
  5. Reference service is different in the special library than in the academic library e.g.: SDI service is necessary for AFU or special library. Generally, not followed SDI service in an academic / college library.

21 of 28

21

  1. Repository and interlibrary loan services are not available in both libraries but it is important for users point of view.
  2. Opening hours: in special library users are almost living in the hostel within University premises so an library opening hour is better to expand.
  3. Book issue quotas are slightly different according to the nature of users.
  4. Computer lab also seems needed in the present situation.
  5. Various Integrated systems are found in the market both of them need to try to adopt the best one for their libraries.

Suggestion and recommendation:

22 of 28

22

  1. Reference section should be separately managed in the AFU special library.
  2. New Arrival Display Rack Should be improved in BMC library.
  3. Photocopy services are kept near the library in both libraries but according to the security point of view, it will be better to keep them under the library building not near the library.
  4. Library maintenance is necessary for both libraries in the present situation.
  5. Newspaper clipping service also important and should be followed in both libraries.
