At its core, MIE believes �in the power of �experiential & hands-on education.

Student explorers will participate in self-assessment, team-building, and �career-building activities that build �exploration, connection, and growth. �They will discover their strengths and interests and learn more about career paths in these areas.

Campus Experience �and Career Connections

  • Students live and learn together in an English-immersive environment.

  • They engage in interactive activities, collaboration, and hands-on experiences, mentored by University faculty and staff.

Hands-On Career Exploration

At MIE, explorers will learn more about different career paths through tours, conversations with Mizzou faculty, and hands-on experiences. ��Opportunities may include:

  • Developing and marketing their own product at the Business School
  • Learning various medical procedures at �the School of Medicine
  • Making some news with the Mizzou Method at the School of Journalism

Mentorship

Explorers will work in small teams led by a Mizzou Ambassador.

Our Ambassadors:

  • Lead explorers through a variety of activities that support career exploration, connections, and growth.
  • Spend each day working closely with their teams.
  • Accompany explorers on excursions.
  • Facilitate daily reflections with Explorers to build on what we have learned.
  • Are mentors and role models in the program.

With a ratio of ~5 Explorers to 1 Ambassador, Ambassadors will guide and mentor small groups of Explorers throughout their journey.

During MIE, Explorers

will have the opportunity to interact with experts and professionals from a variety of academic fields (i.e. journalism, medicine, engineering, astronomy, veterinary, law, business, art, education, etc.)

AND from corporate leaders (Boeing, Bayer, etc.).

Explorers will meet new people from culturally diverse backgrounds and create lasting friendships.

MIE takes learning outside of the classroom and into the field, giving Explorers dynamic, lifelong learning experiences.

Program Fee Includes:

Suite-style housing on campus with one roommate, community laundry, and security staff at night

All meals during program �(dietary requests accommodated)

All activities including entry fees for field trips

Transportation during program upon arrival at airport

Pre-departure orientation and post-program �online sessions

Airfare to and from �St. Louis Lambert International Airport

Travel and Health Insurance (Required)

Any screening tests that may be required by the United States or student’s home country upon arrival or departure

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

We will process a cancellation or withdrawal as follows:

JUNE 28, 2024: Last day to cancel and receive refund (less non-refundable deposit and fund transfer fee $50) - $2,450

Please note, payments lost due to withdrawal from a program cannot be applied to next year's programs or to a sibling's account.

On and after June 28, 2024: No refunds will be issued.
