At its core, MIE believes �in the power of �experiential & hands-on education.
Student explorers will participate in self-assessment, team-building, and �career-building activities that build �exploration, connection, and growth. �They will discover their strengths and interests and learn more about career paths in these areas.

Mentorship
Explorers will work in small teams led by a Mizzou Ambassador.
Our Ambassadors:
With a ratio of ~5 Explorers to 1 Ambassador, Ambassadors will guide and mentor small groups of Explorers throughout their journey.
Interactions
During MIE, Explorers
will have the opportunity to interact with experts and professionals from a variety of academic fields (i.e. journalism, medicine, engineering, astronomy, veterinary, law, business, art, education, etc.)
AND from corporate leaders (Boeing, Bayer, etc.).
Friendships
Explorers will meet new people from culturally diverse backgrounds and create lasting friendships.
GROWTH
Lifelong Learning
MIE takes learning outside of the classroom and into the field, giving Explorers dynamic, lifelong learning experiences.
Leadership Skills
Explorers will develop their leadership skills with different activities and apply what they learn by collaborating with peers and presenting their ideas.
Team-Building
The Career Exploration journey includes team-building activities such as Venture Out, a high-ropes course that focuses on teamwork.
Independence and Autonomy
Explorers will be assigned different roles each day within their teams, �allowing them to work on their life skills and learn about responsibility.
Self-Assessment and Self-Discovery
The Career Exploration journey includes self-assessment and self-discovery activities that help Explorers identify their strengths and challenges—and how to put them to use in their future careers.
Service
Explorers will participate in community-�service events and learn more about non-profit organizations.

Program Fee Includes:
Suite-style housing on campus with one roommate, community laundry, and security staff at night
All meals during program �(dietary requests accommodated)
All activities including entry fees for field trips
Transportation during program upon arrival at airport
Pre-departure orientation and post-program �online sessions
Program Fee DOES NOT Include:
Airfare to and from �St. Louis Lambert International Airport
Travel and Health Insurance (Required)
Any screening tests that may be required by the United States or student’s home country upon arrival or departure
Spending & other personal expenses �during the program
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
We will process a cancellation or withdrawal as follows:
JUNE 28, 2024: Last day to cancel and receive refund (less non-refundable deposit and fund transfer fee $50) - $2,450
Please note, payments lost due to withdrawal from a program cannot be applied to next year's programs or to a sibling's account.
On and after June 28, 2024: No refunds will be issued.
