4 of 21

OPERATION MANAGEMENTSTRATEGY

  • Is establishing the best structure to guide the Missionary in making use of various resources –human and financial – to pursue its stated mission.

“from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” (EPH 4: 16)

ESTABLISHMENT OF OPERATION STRUCTURE

  • Efficient operation starts with a designed structure.
  • Operation structure consists of different roles.
  • Roles are carried out by servant(s)
  • Every servant is given a unique talent that fits in a specific role(s) to achieve the set objectives.

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,.” (EPH 4: 11-12)

OUR MISSION

STRATEGIC OPERATIONS OBJECTIVES

  • In order to design the adequate structure, Operations Objectives have to be set and prioritised by the Support Services Department; namely :

    • Quality: is consistency in our Message and Image
    • Speed: not of prime importance all the time
    • Dependability: is to deliver on time and as promised
    • Flexibility: is our ability to amend our plan to satisfy changing situations and different cultures
    • Cost: is effective preplanning to eliminate and avoid unnecessary costs (efficiency)

SUPPORT SERVICES ROLE

Based on the vision, mission, and the operations objectives, each Support Service Department (HR, Marketing, Financial and Administration) will:

  • Design its section in preparing a comprehensive Evangelism Service Manual.
  • Have a continuous communication channel with the Station Manager providing him with services and consultations and receiving his progress reports and promptly responding to his feedbacks.

11 of 21

EVANGELISM SERVICE MANUAL

  • Should include main strategies, procedures and requirements to guide the Servant(s) while setting up the Missionary Station.
  • The Manual will include sections covering all aspects:
    • Marketing- Survey forms, Guide for segmentation, How to introduce ourselves in the new location, samples of marketing material, etc..
    • Human Resources – Personnel Job Descriptions, Preset Questionnaire for interviewing purposes, Pre-requisite skills for servants etc..
    • Financial – Budgeting guide, accounting forms, Expense claim forms etc..
    • Processes and Administration – Checklist to site setup, communication and reporting channels, contact lists, supplies and purchases requisitions and Operation Reports forms, etc..

    • Initial Target Segment(s)
    • The form of Operation (i.e. Positioning)

  • At this stage, and based on the above collected data, the Headquarters together with the appointed Station Manager would be in a position ready to set up the Location Missionary Objectives.

SPIRITUAL PLAN

SPIRITUAL Service is always our ultimate objective.

  • However, many barriers in new location’s may prevent us from directly addressing this topic from the beginning.

Thus, Social Services could be a door to enter from, that would allow us to:

1 - Build a relationship among the people, trust and even love...

2 - Learn more about their culture, lives, needs, problems...

PREACHING STAGES

  • Pre-Relationship Stage: The people starts first to experience a difference through their servants pure love and selfless attitude. (Social level)

“But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children.” (1 Thessalonians 2:7)

  • Introduction Stage: As the servants become more intimate with the life of their served segments, they may be able to address their problems or needs from a spiritual angle introducing comforting ideas about God’s love and fulfilment. (Moral Level)

“we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children” (1 Thessalonians 2:11)

17 of 21

PREACHING STAGES

  • Acquaintance Stage: At this stage, direct issues about faith and God’s presence in our lives, what does He expect from us as well as His promises would be introduced. (Spiritual Level – in more formal meetings)

(e.g. in ST. Paul Preaching speech in Acts 17)

  • Relationship Stage: At this stage, people begins to develop a perception with a new awareness about God (mind change), which is the start of the true relationship.

“do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Rom 12:2)

OPERATION EVALUATION

Is a continuous process of:

  • Monitoring and assessment of performance
  • Evaluation of different courses of action
  • Based on the performance assessment, changes in the environment and location (legal, social, economic, political), an amendment to the objectives may have to be considered.
  • Establishment of new programs and procedures of the selected alternatives.

REMEMBER

“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,. so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;. or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;. he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.” (Rom 12: 4-8)
