Background

  • SEIU Local 99 has announced its intention to hold a three-day strike sometime over the next few weeks

  • The dates for this potential job action have been identified as March 21 - 23.
  • Additionally, our labor partner, UTLA, has advised teachers to support the strike by not reporting to work on those three days.

  • If this strike does occur, despite our best efforts to avoid it and due to the anticipated lack of both teachers and school staff, it is likely we would have to close schools – without virtual education – until the strike ends.
