AI/ML Course Goals
Who are we?
ACM AI is the committee that serves to connect the UCLA community to the world of Artificial Intelligence in both a technical and practical manner. ACM AI collaborates with Teach LA to teach this class!
Teach LA is the committee that strives to make computer science education more accessible to K-12 students, specifically to students in the LA district. It is through Teach LA that we get to teach you all!
ACM is the largest Computer Science Community at UCLA. We strive to make Computer Science more accessible for UCLA students and our local community.
Vision
Motivation
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have become extremely prevalent in society. Regardless of what areas high schoolers plan to pursue upon graduation, they’re likely to encounter AI and ML-related technologies in their future careers
Structure
Course will be led by 2-4 UCLA students. Students will require access to a computer.
Guidelines
We want students who are interested in STEM and/or are curious about computer science. It’s recommended that students have prior knowledge of pre-calculus. Any students who are interested are welcome to participate, however.
A course taught by UCLA students to introduce high-school students to
artificial intelligence and its many applications.
