Don’t forget to move your clocks back one hour!

Sunday, November 5th

Family Mass Save the Date:

Our next family Mass is scheduled for November 19th at the 11:00 Mass. We had a wonderful response in September. This Mass we will have Fr. Michael available to answer any questions you may have about the Mass or the Catholic Church. This is a great opportunity in a relaxed way if you are Catholic or not to ask any question that you may have. Why do we ring bells, why is incense used sometimes, Why does the priest wear different colors on different days? Why can’t non Catholics receive communion, why do we pray to Mary and the Saints? Chances are if you have a question about it so do many others. Please bring your question and enjoy an enlightening answer from Fr. Michael over a cup of coffee.

Green Eagles

Christmas is coming and with that may come the onslaught on gifts! One way to help slow down the stream that may come into your home in December or for birthdays is by giving or asking for experiences instead of physical items. You could give an experience for someone to have without you or take your kid, godchild, grandchild, parent or friend out for some time together! A few ideas:

  • dinner out or invite someone over for a special meal
  • movie tickets
  • mini golf
  • time at an arcade
  • bowling
  • ice skating
  • roller skating
  • Skyzone

  • Science Central trip or a membership
  • Botanical Gardens or Art museum trip or membership
  • ride pass for the zoo
  • money to feed an animal at the zoo
  • an escape room
  • paint pottery
  • sports game: TinCaps, Komets, etc.
  • zip lining
  • laser tag
  • go karts
  • kayaking the rivers

Come Join Us at Night of Hope!

February 24, 2024, will be our 4th annual Night of Hope live auction & dinner. We hope you’ll be able to join us! This has been a wonderful event to gather together parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, and supporters of St. Jude to celebrate our wonderful school and to raise some money as well.

In the past, the proceeds from Night of Hope have been used to buy BenQ boards for all the homerooms. The black and green chalkboards many of us grew up with are a thing of the past with these very smart boards at the teachers’ disposal. We also raised money to update the 4th-grade hall bathrooms (across from the old main office) and give the teachers a supply fund over what is already provided for them.

This year we are working on something very cool. Air conditioning for the school gym! Even if you haven’t sweated through a hot game in there, your kids have probably experienced a very warm gym class. Sometimes it’s so hot that they find it cooler to have class outside! This is a HUGE project and will likely be a two-year goal to work towards.

Tickets for the dinner go on sale December 8th. More information about how you can contribute to the success of Night of Hope will be coming or you can check out the website now: NightofHope2024.givesmart.com for details on sponsorships!
