  • Learning facilitated and supported through the use of Information and Communication Technology is known as E- learning. The learner interacts with information, construct knowledge and acquire learning experience with the help of online digital tools.

E-Content

The content for E learning is known as e-content. E-content be defined as “digital text and images designed for display on web pages”.

It is a combination of text, audio, video, images, animation with visual effects. Any digitized content that can facilitate the learning process and/or learning outcome can be termed as e-content.

Types

  • Synchronous e-learning : When all the participants simultaneously login to the course, learn through video conferencing and chat is known as synchronous e-learning.
  • Asynchronous e-learning : The type of e-learning that is possible at any time anywhere according to the convenience of the learner is known as asynchronous.
