What does this entail?
-researching current water sustainability news
-creating infographics summarizing articles and providing engaging visuals
Why is this work important?
-makes water sustainability and related news more accessible to people
-makes it easier for them to understand what is currently happening in the field even without having any previous environmental science background
-Increased awareness of these issues in the public could lead to better personal choices like conserving water in homes, reducing plastic waste, or voting for policies that protect water sources.

Why this project is important:
Making water sustainability news more accessible to the general public is crucial because water issues affect everyone, regardless of their scientific background. Many people rely on water daily without fully understanding the challenges of environmental degradation and climate change impacts on water resources. By simplifying language and using visuals, more people can understand the importance of water sustainability.

Accessible water sustainability news empowers communities who don’t have science related backgrounds to take action and advocate for change. So many water-related issues require larger scale collective efforts like improving local water infrastructure and supporting sustainable agricultural practices.

Through social media, the reach of news on these issues is broadened and through simple infographics, the public can have access to a simplified explanation of current water sustainability issues.
I have learned so much from this field study position, and I am so grateful for the experience.
