Remember:

  • The deadline to apply to Ontario universities through the OUAC is January 15, 2025.

  • Consult the OUAC website, especially the FAQs | Ontario Universities' Application Centre; if you have a question about your application, the answer will be there. E.g., If you change your mind after you have submitted your application, you may make changes.

  • “All Ontario universities agree to abide by the January deadline. All applications received by the January 15 deadlines will receive equal consideration. There is misinformation spreading out there that students need to submit their applications as early as possible because the early offers that some universities send out mean that some programs fill up before the January deadline. We know that this information is causing undue stress. For the record, it is not at all true that university programs fill up before the January deadline. A student who submits their application in October does not have a better chance of receiving an offer of admission than a student who submits on January 15th. Some universities, not all, extend some early offers of admission based on grade 11 and/or first semester midterm marks, but these early offers do not at all jeopardize the chances of admission for someone who submits on January 15th. The bulk of offers are sent in February and March after first semester marks are available, followed by another round in May when second semester midterm marks are available.”

Marks Displayed on your OUAC Account

  • After your marks have been transferred by TDSB to OUAC, all of your grade 11 credits/marks and available grade 12 credits/marks will show on your OUAC account.
  • Grade 12 courses you are currently enrolled in and those you will take semester two will also be visible.
  • Generally speaking, universities will make their offers of admission based on your final semester one marks and your mid-term semester two marks; however, all offers of admission are conditional upon your completing the requirements.
  • Some universities will consider your grade 11 marks if grades in required Grade 12 courses are unavailable.
