Request Reports

The Request Reports are useful for monitoring course requests and planning sections. The six reports appear as tabs at the top of the page and include: Request by Course, Print Requests by Student, Print Requests by Course, Duplicate Requests, Students with too Many Requests, and Students with too Few Requests.

Requests by Course

  1. Navigate to Scheduling, then Request Reports.
  • Enter Course Request Information

The Requests by Course report displays the number of request for each course.

  1. Select the course name link to open the Courses & Sections page and view the course information.

  • Select a # of Requests link (an underlined number) to open a list of students with that request in a new tab. From this tab, a student’s name can be selected to open up the Student Request page. **The number of requests indicated on the report may differ from the number of students who made the request, as alternate requests are included.

  • Select an Additional Filled Seats link to view the list of students who are scheduled into the course but did not have a request for the course in a new tab. From this tab, a student’s name can be selected to open up the Student Schedule page.

Print Requests

by Student

Navigate to Scheduling, then Request Reports.

  • Enter Print Requests by Students Information

The Print Requests by Student tab is used to print student request sheets for individual students or for a group of students.

  1. Using the Student Search and More Search Options, enter any search criteria necessary to locate the student or group of students.
  2. Select from print options available as needed. Some options sort requests sheets by prior school and sort requests sheets by prior school years periods.
  3. Select Include Inactive Students as needed to include more students in the search results.
  4. Select Download Requests Sheets to open a PDF preview of the request sheets. This PDF can then be saved to the user’s computer or printed.
  5. Select Reset to clear any search criteria and start over.

Print Requests

by Course

  • Navigate to Scheduling, then Request Reports.
  • Enter Print Requests by Course Information

The Print Requests by Course tab is used to print a list of students who have requested specific subjects or courses.

  1. To print a list of students who have requested certain subjects, select the Subject(s).
  2. To print a list of students who have requested certain courses, select the Course(s).
  3. Select the Format. Selecting PDF will generate a PDF that can be saved to your computer or printed. Selecting List will display a list of the students that can be exported.
  4. To limit the results by team, select the Team.

  1. Select a Letterhead Template, if one is set up for printing requests.
  2. Select Include Inactive Students, if desired.
  3. Select Download Class Lists to generate a PDF or list, as chosen in the Format field.
  4. Select Reset to clear all selections and start the search over.

Duplicate Requests

  • Navigate to Scheduling, then Request Reports.
  • Enter Duplicate Requests Information

The Duplicate Requests report lists students who have more than one request for the same course. If courses have the same course number but are housed in different subject folders, these will not display as duplicate requests.

Within the Duplicate Requests tab, users will see the Student, Student ID, Course, Course Number, and Number of Requests.

  1. Select the student’s name to open the Student Requests screen in a new tab. From here, users can edit the student’s requests as needed.
  2. Select Delete All the Duplicate Requests to delete the duplicate requests for all students in the list.

**Be sure you want to delete all the duplicate requests in the list, as some duplicate requests are okay.

Students with

too Many Requests

  • Navigate to Scheduling, then Request Reports.
  • Enter Student Information on Students with too Many Requests tab

**Requests with a priority of 2 or higher are not included in the totals since they are alternate requests.

On the Student Search screen, enter search criteria to locate the student(s) needed. Then select Search.

**To view all students who have too many requests, select Search with no criteria entered.

Students with

too Many Requests

Within the Student with too Many Requests tab, users will see the Student name, Student ID, Grade Level, Number of Requests, and Number of Credits.

  1. Select a student’s name to open the Student Requests screen in a new tab. From here, edits can be made to the requests as needed.
  2. The system counts requests as follows:
    1. If sections are created as full year, the system counts the request as 1.
    2. If sections are created as a semester, the system counts the request as 0.5.
    3. If sections are created as a quarter, the system counts the request as a 0.25.
    4. If no sections are built, the system looks at the Course Length field.

Students with

Too Few Requests

  • Navigate to Scheduling, then Request Reports.
  • Enter Student Information on Students with too Few Requests tab

The Students with too Few Requests report displays students with fewer requests than needed based on the number of semesters and periods scheduled in a school day.

**Requests with a priority of 2 or higher are not included in the totals since they are alternate requests.

On the Student Search screen, enter search criteria to locate the student(s) needed. Then select Search.

**To view all students who have too many requests, select Search with no criteria entered.

Within the Student with too Few Requests tab, users will see the Student name, Student ID, Grade Level, Number of Requests, and Number of Credits.

  1. Select the Dismiss Student check box next to each student as needed.

  • Once the check box(es) for Dismiss Student have been selected, select Save Dismissed Students. The selected students will then become hidden on the report. **The total number of students with too few requests indicated above the report will not change since the students are not permanently removed from the report, just hidden.

  • As the report is being viewed, users can toggle between Show Dismissed Students and Hide Dismissed Students. This will show and hide the dismissed students respectively.

  • Select a student’s name to open the Student Requests screen in a new tab. From here, edits can be made to the requests as needed.
