The Video
The WORSE it is,
the BETTER it is
By Jon Corippo @jcorippo
This project was inspired by the film Be Kind Rewind...
...they remake ALL the movies after the VHS tapes get erased. They are so BAD they become classics.

THE WORSE IT IS, THE BETTER IS IS! Release all that guilt!
STEP ONE: Download a cinematic trailer from iTunes or YouTube
A cinematic trailer is usually about 2:30
It takes too long to adapt a full feature to a Sweded version.
Just adapt the trailer, badly.
The goal: Match the trailer shot-for-shot with BAD graphics, animation and great editing!
WARNING: Some trailers are WAY harder to swede - plan ahead so that you can actually recreate the effects.
STEP Two: Planning the shots - using the trailer
Use the downloaded trailer to develop the storyboard - lots of copying and adapting
Use paper to plan! It’s SO fast!
Protip: Use the trailer in your WeVideo timeline to line up YOUR shots in another video channel, then delete the trailer:
YOUR trailer
Real trailer
Add on ONE: HOMEMADE EFFECTS!
Protip: Use the real audio track or make a BAD COPY.
Make your own graphics
Green screen for days!

Better yet - hold your own Swede Fest, locally!
Make something epic, quickly
No script needed.
Fast storyboard, because you ADAPT, instead of CREATE.
SHOTS MATTER - GET THEM RIGHT.
Acting - worse is better!
End the semester with a highly engaging project!
