Create: Matariki and Maunga with Google Drawings

  • Use the polyline tool to make a mountain.
  • Duplicate mountains - Control + D
  • Flip mountains horizontally - Arrange, Rotate, Flip horizontally
  • Fill the ‘mountain’ shapes with different colours
  • Move them and resize the mountains.
  • Add stars to represent the Matariki star cluster.
  • Fill them with colour.

Start a Google Drawing

Click then drag and repeat till you have closed the shape up.

Click on the arrow to stop the polyline.

Use the Polyline Tool to Draw a Mountain

Select the mountain shape then tap Control + D to duplicate

Duplicate the Mountain

Flip the Mountain

Colour, Move, Resize

Pull from the blue squares to resize.

Add Stars & Change Background

Right Click on the canvas to then Select Background
