Unit 2 Overview:
In this unit, students should achieve some success at making a simple app to introduce CS in a way that motivates students with different levels of CS experience. Students will be introduced to the whole process of creating an app.
Unit 2 Purpose:
1. To understand what an app is
2. To experience an app
3. Remix a basic app.
4. To go through the process of creating a simple app
Students Will Be Able To
1. Students will modify and personalize a basic app
2. Students will be able to explain the purpose of different app components (e.g. buttons, blocks)
3. Identify an idea for an app that will serve society
4. Explain how CS impacts our world through apps that help people
5. Set up and use their computers with increasing independence
6. Describe different types of media, where they can be found, and how to use them- Creative Commons, Fair Use
