Keynote: Alicia Dallman Shoemaker “Joy, Laughter, & Advocacy”

Alicia Dallman Shoemaker is the District Department Chair and a Spanish teacher with Elkhorn Public Schools. Dallman Shoemaker is the 2023 ACTFL National Language Teacher of the Year, the 2023 Central States Languages for All Teacher of the Year and the 2022 NILA Outstanding Teacher of the Year. She holds an Education Specialist Degree and a MA of Education in Educational Leadership from Doane University, and a BA in Spanish and English Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Keynote: Alicia Dallman Shoemaker “Joy, Laughter, & Advocacy”

She is also President of the Malaika Foundation, which aims to build greater understanding of people and countries throughout the world for Nebraska youth; a Modern Language Methods Instructor: Department of Education at Nebraska Wesleyan University; and serves on a variety of leadership committees at the local, state, and national levels and has taught in South America and Europe.
