AI & Healthcare

@cabcoschools

Healthcare leaders are looking for AI tools that provide value, reduce costs, increased administrative efficiencies and improve patient care. (HealthTech Magazine, 2025)

AI Implementation requires the right people to problem solve potential risks, Return on Investment (ROIs) and cultural readiness. (HealthTech Magazine, 2025)

With 4.5 billion people lacking access to essential healthcare services and an expected shortfall of 11 million health-workers by 2030, AI offers a major opportunity to help close the gap. (World Economic Forum, 2025)

AI has become the new determinant of competitiveness, the next dividing line between organizations that thrive and those that fade. It’s no longer a question of if or when. It’s a question of how fast—and whether the human mission of healthcare can evolve as quickly as the technology now demands. (Forbes, 2025)

AI & Healthcare

@cabcoschools

Seven specific AI applications already making a difference:

  1. AI interpreting brain scans (e.g., stroke onset + timing) more accurately than humans.

  1. AI spotting bone fractures missed by clinicians, helping reduce unnecessary follow-ups.

  1. Predictive models detecting early signs of 1,000 + diseases (before symptoms appear) via large‐scale data.

Seven specific AI applications already making a difference:

4. AI-driven chatbots / digital interfaces triaging patients and aiding clinical decisions.

5. AI supporting traditional, complementary and integrative medicine (TCIM), including cataloguing indigenous medical texts and linking ancient practices with genomics.

6. AI streamlining healthcare administration (e.g., transcription tools, scheduling, reducing clinician paperwork) allowing more time with patients.

7. AI assessing ambulance / emergency transfer needs: e.g., models that correctly identify 80 % of transfers in one UK study based on mobility, vitals, chest pain etc.

Learning at

As the Carolinas continue to grow, we want every young person to be future-ready and future-resilient.

We believe every student deserves a pathway to purpose. That means helping them discover what they’re good at, what they care about, and how they can use their talents to make a difference in their community.

From medical simulation and regenerative medicine to diagnostics, engineering design, and emerging technologies, students get hands-on experiences with the tools and ideas shaping healthcare and innovation across the region.

They explore real problems, design solutions, test their ideas, and work alongside industry professionals, discovering not just what’s possible for their futures, but what’s possible for all of us because of them.
