Come prepared to class with your binder, writing utensils, project materials & properly dressed on lab days.

Start working on bell ringers immediately so class can start within five minutes of the bell. This is when I will grade your bell ringers.

Work should be turned in on its due date. Late work will lose points on a per-day-late basis.

bathroom, food and drink policy

In general, food and drinks are not allowed in my class unless it is a part of the classwork/lab.

NO GUM ALLOWED IN CLASSROOM

Weekly and daily work will be updated weekly (bell ringers, participation, and quizzes). Please check Google Classroom and Infinite Campus regularly and feel free to ask me any questions that you might have about a particular grade.

If you are absent, you are responsible for completing your make-up work (one day for make-up for each day absent). NOTE: ACCESS TO DAILY LESSONS ARE FOUND IN YOUR DIGITAL CLASSROOM

It is your responsibility to ask a classmate or visit your Digital Classroom to catch up on any lecture notes or other assignments, and/or to meet with Mrs. Jordan to make up any tests, quizzes or papers. I WILL NOT CHASE YOU DOWN.

If you know you are going to be absent beforehand, you should first visit the Digital Classroom to see what the (Note: most often the next week’s lessons will be posted on your Digital Classroom

Electronic devices should not be out during class, unless otherwise instructed by the teacher or with permission. Cell phones are to be kept in the cell phone resort at the table under the flag. There may be instances where the use of cell phones is allowed for classwork/lab.

There are certain times when using your phone is permissible (e.g. taking pictures of projects, calculations, timers, etc)

Very rarely is Homework assignment. Most daily work will be able to be completed in class if students use their time wisely. The exception to this would be typed essays or projects.

Some work may need to be done outside of classes to finish writing and/or typing final paper.

If you are needing a copy of an assignment, or an extra copy of a handout, or wanting to schedule a make-up quiz/test/lab please complete an Late Assignment memo and place in Mrs. J’s Inbox

If you are submitting a LATE ELECTRONIC ASSIGNMENT you will also need to complete a LATE MEMO to request grading of late assignments

  • Do not slam books on table. Enter quietly and begin work on warm up.
  • No bags on the table or in the walkway. All bags will be placed UNDER DESKS.
  • Bring writing utensils, and CHARGED computer to class EVERYDAY.
  • All cell phones belong in caddy, and cell use is only allowed with teacher’s discretion. Any phones found NOT in caddy will be reported to the office and taken downstairs, no exception. Student will sign for detention

  • Since this is a CAREERS AND TECH EDUCATION CLASS we will be practicing our career professionalism.
  • No gum or food in the classroom
  • All assignments are turned in in the box or in GOOGLE CLASSROOM—do not email or “Share” me Google or Sharepoint ANY ASSIGNMENTS
  • All late assignments MUST have Late Memo form filled out. (a Late Memo needs to be filled out otherwise

Late assignments are graded when they are graded, do not expect late assignments to take priority they go to the bottom of the pile without a Late Memo).

  • No milling about around the door. Stay in seat until bell ring.
  • Remaining time will be announced periodically during lab, when clean up time is announced. START CLEANING!
