General entry �requirements

Passport books are required for all travelers. Passport cards are not accepted.
EF recommends that passports are valid for at least 6 months after tour
Non-U.S. citizens may require additional documentation or visas
Carry a color copy of your passport with you and leave one at home

COVID-19 entry �requirements

All travelers have access to the EF’s COVID-19 Travel Requirements on your individual online accounts. Please check this regularly for updates.

A couple reminders:

All travelers are required to take a pre-tour COVID-19 test, regardless of destination - PCR test within 72 hrs
All travelers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the strictest destination on our tour
All travelers are required to carry physical & virtual copies of your COVID-19 test results
All travelers should always carry their completed CDC vaccine card & also have a virtual copy
Some destinations have additional entry requirements - we will review what ours are in a couple slides & by going through the COVID-19 Travel Requirements

We all received an email from EF a few weeks ago letting us know we can check the Entry Requirements Tool on our online accounts to see the most up-to-date COVID-19 entry requirements. In order to travel with EF, all travelers must be fully vaccination.

Additionally, in order to travel, we all also will need to take a pre-tour test. Some destinations have specific requirements for what the pre-tour test looks like, including what type of test and how far ahead. As an EF requirement, regardless of what our destinations require, each traveler must still carry proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken prior to departure while on tour. This can be a rapid at-home COVID-19 antigen test taken within 24 hours of your flight’s departure—or a COVID-19 PCR or supervised/telehealth antigen test within 72 hours of your flight’s departure. A photo of your at-home rapid test will suffice if you choose this option. Note that travelers may not depart on tour without documentation of a negative COVID-19 test.

In addition to your original copies, please be sure to have copies of your vaccine card, and COVID-19 test results. Carry extra copies in paper form, in your email, and in a screenshot in your camera roll.

Safety pre-tour

Now that we’re within 3 weeks of traveling…

To minimize possible exposure, start closing social circles & social distance whenever possible
Consider wearing masks when in larger, crowded places and indoors
If you do come into contact with anyone who has tested positive OR test positive yourself within 10 days before we leave for your, you will need to contact EF Traveler Support
In case of quarantine on tour, start to think about & prepare any additional medication & any necessities you may need

I expect travelers to patient and respectful of each other and to maintain a positive outlook on things.
I expect travelers to be on time (maybe a bit early) out of respect for the group.
Adult travelers must also follow the rules of the group :)

Please make sure to be timely!
It’s important to keep all possessions in a safe place in order to be proactive about personal safety.

If a student is required to quarantine due to COVID-19, Herr Ekdahl will stay behind with them.

Health and Medical Details: Update now; Hand in at the end of the meeting

Fill out the ‘health and medical profile’. For any dietary restrictions, please put them in the ‘allergies’ box. Once you have completed this form, hand it to me at the end of this meeting.

Background checks: adult travelers (20 years old +) please complete your background checks!

Travel & entry documents: make sure you have all your proper documentation prepared and ready, including required forms

Here is a list of To-Do's for you all, I will send a more comprehensive version after the meeting, but let’s review the most important things!

We went through some of our Safety to-dos already: the EF COVID-19 Safe Traveler Agreement, Health & Medical profiles and emergency contacts
I need copies of your passport, and your completed CDC Vaccine Card. Travelers must pass the recommended 14 days after their final shot (per the CDC) to be considered completely vaccinated. Any travelers with less than 14 days passed their final COVID-19 vaccination shot won’t be permitted to travel.
Remember money! Make sure you have budgeted and plan to bring sufficient amounts of money.
Finally keep your eyes on our flight information on your EF Traveler website, this info is subject to change until departure!
