Cell Phone Policy

Doors and Entry Points

  • Opening locked doors for other students, and propping doors and gates open is not permitted on campus.
  • Opening and propping doors on campus will result in immediate suspension and may result in probation for the remainder of the school year.

Restroom Rules

  • Use a physical pass from your teacher. (Color Coded)
  • Report to the restroom closest to your class.
  • Being in an “unauthorized area” may result in disciplinary action from your principal.
  • NO food or drink in restrooms.
  • Only 1 person per stall!

School Closes at 4:00pm

  • You MUST Be Out Of The Building By 4:00pm
    • Exceptions are if you are being supervised by a faculty member!
    • After The Dismissal Bell:
      • Bus Riders MUST Report to bus loading area (cafeteria)
      • Car Riders MUST report to the Car Line area (outside the main gym loop)
      • Student Drivers MUST report to the Parking Lot
      • Athletes report to your Practice/Game Location or Coach

      • Bus Rider, Then The Bus Ramp Is “Off-Limits”
      • Car Rider, Then the Car Line is “Off-Limits”

Parking

  • Only Park Where You Have Been Issued A Hang Tag.
  • Senior overflow parking is the Junior lot.
  • Hang Tags MUST Be Displayed On Your Mirror Facing Outward.
  • Illegally Parked Cars Will Result In A Fine and Possible Towing.
  • Underclassmen Who Receive A Violation For Parking In The Senior Lot This Year Will Not Be ELIGIBLE To Purchase A Senior Hang Tag Their Senior Year.
  • Seniors may lose Senior parking privileges if parked illegally!

Parking Lots

  • Hanging Out (Loitering) In Lots Before Or After School Is Prohibited
    • Exit Your Vehicle And Enter The School When You Arrive.
    • Enter Your Vehicle And Exit The Campus At Conclusion Of The Day.
    • Failure To Do So Will Result In Revocation Of Parking Privileges At BHS.
  • Speeding and reckless operation of vehicles will result in loss of driving privileges. (5mph)
  • In the event of an accident in the parking lot, you must contact front office immediately. Request help from an administrator and SRO (School Resource Officer).

  • Safety Purposes
  • Must Be Worn At ALL TIMES!
  • If you have forgotten you ID please get temporary sticker
  • If you’ve lost your ID, let your principal know ASAP so you can be issued a new one. Replacement IDs cost $$$$$$$
  • IDs Will Allow You Entrance Into The Building (Key to the School) 7AM-4PM
    • Rebel Cafe Entrance, ROTC Entrance, Main Entrance, and Gym Lobby

Tardy Policy

  • If You Are Late To Class….
    • Tardies 1-5 documented warning
    • Tardies 6-10 Principal’s detention
    • Tardies 11-15 ISS
    • Tardies 16^ OSS and Recommended for Truancy

Attendance

  • You Are Allowed 5 unexcused absences in a semester course.
    • More than 5 unexcused absences will result in a “FA” (Credit Denial) for the course.
  • You Are Allowed 3 unexcused absences in a 9 weeks course.
    • More than 3 unexcused absences will result in a “FA” (Credit Denial) for the course.
  • Unexcused Hours may be made-up on Recapture Days
    • See your administrator if you need to sign up for recapture.
    • Must have a minimum of a 52 to make up hours.
  • Notes For Absences/Early Dismissals Should Be Turned into the Front Office.
  • YOU MUST SIGN-IN and SIGN-OUT In The Main Office Or Rebel Cafe Entrance.
      • If You will not be counted present for the current class period.
      • If You Are Leaving Early

Final Exam Policy

  • Seniors ONLY can exempt final exams if:
    • It's not an EOC, AP, or Dual
    • CCR
    • Have an “A” in the course

  • NO Medication Of ANY TYPE Should Be On Your Person Without Prior Approval From The School Nurse.
  • Failure to do so is a violation of District 5 Drug Policy and may result in disciplinary action.

  • Morning Bus Leaves Promptly At 8:00am From Bus Ramp.
  • Afternoon Bus Leaves Promptly At 12:15 From Bus Ramp.
  • Bus Rules Are In Effect.
  • You Must Receive Permission To Drive or Ride To And From RDA.
    • Speeding and/or reckless driving to and from RDA may result in loss of driving privileges.
  • Must Sign-In Or Sign-Out From RDA/Byrnes.
    • If You Leave RDA Early.
    • If You Get To RDA Late.
    • If You Miss RDA And Report To Byrnes.
    • If You Leave Byrnes Prior To RDA.
