SAC opportunities:

  • Opportunity to meet other parents and members of the school community
  • Learn about what is happening in the school & the parish
  • Opportunity to provide feedback
  • Able to voice opinion of parent community

SAC involvement:

  • Monthly meeting generally on the 3rd Tuesday of the month
  • Meeting starts at 7.30pm and usually goes for 1.5 – 2hrs

Examples of areas discussed:

  • Review of school policies
  • Discussion of reviews / school improvement plan
  • Discussion of enrolment numbers and advertising strategies
  • Learn details of different programs/training that’s happening within the school (students & staff)
  • Able to voice opinion of parent community

Being a member of the SAC is not an onerous commitment. It is a great opportunity to have exposure and input into the school community.
