Logistics

Schedule:

Monday -

9:00: Morning Meeting for all kids.
Asynchronous work on Canvas

Tuesday - Friday - 9:00 - 2:00 Live instruction.

Virtual Students: Virtual students will follow the same schedule. Many students (not all) will have virtual sections to attend from 9:00 - 2:00. They will attend asynchronous specials on Canvas and will take a 30 minute lunch. They will not attend live specials.

Kindergarten Pilot

Start Date: April 6th

Hours: 9:00 - 12:00 Tuesday - Friday

Changes:

Kids will attend school in person or virtual 4 days a week from 9:00 - 12:00.
Students will NOT have afternoon learning on the computer from 2:00 - 4:00.
Students will not have live specials for these two weeks.

Starting April 20th:

Hours: 9:00 - 2:00 Tuesday - Friday in person or Virtual.

Kindergarten Pilot

Busses: We will inform parents of their child’s bus information the week of March 29th.

Safety

Safety: To keep all children and staff safe:

Students will remain at least 3 ft apart in all directions in the classroom.
Masks must be worn at all times except if you go outside and you are at least 10 ft. apart.
Students will still wash hands and have access to sanitizer stations in the room in throughout the building.

Lunch

Lunch Logistics:

Lunch: We will have lunch in the cafeteria and gym where students will be 6 ft. apart and supported by teachers and by a cafeteria team. We will deliver hot lunches to the table. After each lunch session, benches and tables will be appropriately cleaned.
Students can pack their own lunches or eat at school for free.

Covid

If a child does test positive for Covid and was at Conway within 48 hours:

Every child within that child’s 6 ft. bubble has to quarantine. We will personally call all families involved. A letter will be sent to the class as well.
If teachers have had the shot (two weeks after or within three months), they do not have to quarantine.

Bus Information

Bus information will come out the week of April 12. Students will most likely have new busses and pick up and drop off times.

Routes will all be changed which means your child could have a new bus and new pick-up and drop-off time.

Car Riders

To help us dismiss over 240 children starting April 20th safely while also keeping those on Primmer House Road safe, please keep these things in mind:

Arrival:

Please make sure your kiddo has his/her mask on before getting to unloading area.
Parents, please stay in the car at all times. We will help your child.
If you wish to have extended time to say goodbye to your child, we get it. Just pull over in the top lot of our parking lot and you can stay there as long as you wish.

Dismissal:

Please make sure to have your car rider tag on your mirror. If you don’t have one, please call our front office.
We know the line is going to back way up on Primmer House. We will have the Sheriff’s Dept. and we will have a traffic guard there to help. However, to try to help minimize the line, we are going to ask parents to pick-up at two staggered times by last name:

A-K - 2:00 - 2:15
L - M - 2:15 - 2:30

These times are guidelines only and not rules. If you need to pick up at 2:00 and your last name is A-K, you will not be judged or yelled at! Promise! This is just to help with the line and keep it from stretching down Primmer House Rd. For those who can, awesome. For those who can’t, you do not have to adhere to those times.

Intervention Plan

Under Construction. Virtual Interventions will no longer take place starting the week of April 12th. A new schedule will be sent out the week of April 12. Most interventions will take place during the school day.

Dismissal

Car Riders: Dismissal could be longer than it currently is due to us dismissing double the children. We have adapted our car rider system and that will help make our line more efficient. While we believe this will greatly improve our process, we still will be dismissing over 200 families through car riders. Because we cannot have them all in the gym, they have to come from their rooms. This process could definitely take longer than in previous years and certainly longer than it does on Tues/Wed or Thurs/ Friday.

We promise we are trying to make it efficient but we cannot sacrifice safety. Thanks for your understanding.

Office Pick-Up: Under almost no circumstances will children be allowed to be dismissed from the office during dismissal.
