color inspiration
Follow these steps:
My color palette will incorporate muted tones of teal, orange, and charcoal to evoke a retro, eclectic but vibrant spirit. Using these colors in combination balances nostalgia with modernism, giving off an experimental and fresh feel. These pictures not only capture the color scheme I want to convey, but also the tone of my BSG in general. I plan on blending together different patterns and artistic styles to communicate my brand as playful and cool, but keeping the colors subdued to avoid overwhelming the senses and maintain a mature energy.

For my color palette I really want to incorporate darker colors and ideally would like it to contrast along a black background. I'm really drawn to muted, deeper reds, greens, browns, and pops of mixed metals such as gold and silvers. I think white will probably be the brightest color I implement.

My color palette will include various shades of soft pink and white. I want my brand style guide to give off a soft, feminine vibe. I want it to be calm, simple, and elegant without being overwhelming. I also want it to have that balance between realism and artsy without being too cartoony.
I want my color palette to exude luxury: deep red, burnt orange, muted teal, slightly yellowed cream, gold, and brown so dark it’s nearly black. The colors should be shades of the night, often found in an underground speakeasy on a hazy Saturday evening. I chose these pictures because I’ve consulted them for drafts we’ve already completed and I think they capture the essence of my brand style guide. I want to keep patterns simple and focus on rich tones that speak for themselves. Cool. Subdued. Classic.

My color pallet will radiant the feeling of a relaxing, summer afternoon. As the sun disappears, you are graced with its warm heat once last time, as it lights up the sky. Using colors of rich orange, soft cyan, and olive green, I will create a world of endless possibilities. I wish for it to be carefree, beautiful, and inspiring, with a little bit of excitement about what can happen as the night becomes.

My color palette revolves around pinks and greens and funky mismatched patterns. I enjoy the contrast between pink and green as well as between stripes and polka dots, which go against the rule of mixing patterns. I want to incorporate fun illustrations that feel personal, like they were taken out of someone’s journal and added to a scrapbook. In addition, I want to add a bit of edge to the pages through darker colors as the headings and gray-scale images in order to juxtapose the more feminine colors and prints.
My color palette will include classic colors like a deep navy and dark maroon to give off a vintage look and add style and sophistication to the brand. To liven up these darker shades, I want to add in pops of bright yellow and red to make it feel a bit more exciting and vibrant.

I chose these images for the combinations of blue, yellow and warm green that they make. I specifically searched Pinterest for images featuring sunlight and reflections because I want my final palette to have a warm wash over it, tying into the approachable/inviting aspect of my brand. I was specifically inspired by the way the sun reflects on the right side of the rocks in the bottom left picture.

My color palette will include lighter bright pastel colors with deep contrast of red and dark blue. I intend for my palette to give a vintage surf magazine look. My intention of my style guide is to use a play of my name which will represent a design between the sky and sea. With the contrast of blues for the ocean, and red for the sky. The blend of different colors and textures of soft cloud like images which the sharper lines of waves will convey the story of the sun setting on the ocean.

The general idea with the images I chose and the colors was meant to portray “full of life” but also slighting muted. When I look at these images I see more towned done nature based colors. I know I want some variation of blues and greens, specifically ones that resemble the earth in its whimsical form. These colors together showcase life and nature in its element. I plan on using these colors (or some variation) to enhance my BSG and portray a classic and freeing vision.
My color palette will include the vibrant, intense and saturated colors of red, orange, green, and yellow. These colors are bold, demand attention, and are classic colors that anyone would be able to recognize. I want my BSG to be one that anyone could enjoy and have fun to look at. While all the colors completely contrast with one another, I feel they allow each color to pop out and somehow go together.

My color palette will be composed of dark blues, greens, oranges, and shades of red to capture an elegant and elevated tone. These colors capture the mood I want to present in my BSG and I plan to create a retro nightlife feel to my BSG and color choices.

My color palette is built on gritty grays and deep shadows, like concrete and nighttime city streets. Then I bring it to life with a hero orange, plus warm reds and golden yellows that feel like streetlights and neon hitting the scene. I like how it stays clean and minimal, but still has heat when you look closer. It’s the vibe I want my brand to carry: calm, modern, and controlled, with a bold spark that pulls attention.

My color palette will incorporate tones of blue, tan and hints of green. Using these colors in combination allows me to balance a bright and fresh feel with hints of nostalgia which is what I aim to present in my BSG. These pictures not only capture the color scheme I want to convey but also set its tone. I plan on using photos similar to these that give off a nostalgia/vintage look but also incorporate some of my own that also similar to the color palette present in these 3 photos. This will allow me to keep my colors consistent without overwhelming the page.

For my BSG, I want to incorporate various shades of blues with touches of light pink and soft ivory. With this colors, I hope to give off a sense of serenity, playfulness, and tranquility, almost like entering a dream. I think these images capture the stylistic choices made in other parts of the BSG well, specifically with the blues, as that as the color used in my main logo.

My color palette blends banana yellow, plum purple, soft ivory, and warm blush to create a look that feels chic, calm, and quietly radiant. The yellow brings a bright, sunlit energy, youthful and optimistic, while the plum grounds the palette with depth and poise. Together, they strike a balance between playful and polished, like a fresh springtime bouquet or a colorful farmer’s market breakfast plate.
Rather than overwhelming the eye, these colors work in harmony: vibrant but softened, expressive yet controlled. The result is a palette that feels confident and composed, with a natural glow. It reflects my brand’s personality: elegant at its core, but never too serious and open to change.

This picture of a train has every color I like, but none of them are particularly central. It shows like a museum the red trim of the train against a steel black, a rare sand-misted ocean blue, dots of yellow reflected in the flowers, the dark green bushes, and a simple gray handrail that tours you through it all with an appreciative detachment. That’s also what I don’t like about it. I wish there were something stronger that pulled it together.
This guy online makes tech deck wheels out of actual used skateboard wheels, and that’s what this picture is from. Not a great picture or anything but that green is cool.
This is a cover from some story I read for sci fi short stories class. The light blue, dark blue, and brown make for a nice tri-color setup that could make a good base for further colors to be added. Gonna keep in mind

My color palette will consist of pastel, soft colors that evoke a lighthearted, playful, and girly tone. From delicate flowers to clouds to animals, these pictures represent the elements I will use in my brand style guide. I want to add doodles and stickers throughout my BSG to bring out the feeling of looking through a scrapbook or sketchbook.

I want to have a earthy coastal color palette with intentional pops of color. I am drawn to these images with a vintage look with more muted, natural, sandy tones paired with bright and warm blues and oranges. I want to use the brighter colors more sparingly so they really stand out against the natural tones to create a calm and coastal feel.
My color palette is heavily influenced by the most demanding color of attention magenta while also being complimented by violet, pale pink, indigo and plum. These colors are meant to inspire the loud and contrasting nature of vibrant colors in a world that can sometimes be scared of them. This palette represents my brand style guide color scheme and also the certain tone and punky/editorial vibe I want to be conveyed throughout my general BSG and especially my logo.

I have always loved when the sun sets among clouds in a particular way that creates bright and vibrant pinks, yellows, and oranges. I think the contrast of these colors among the typical blue that everyone’s eyes are accustomed to always feels like a breath of fresh air, but for my eyes. Watching a colorful sunset, without fail, brings me a warm and calm feeling that I cannot miss.
My color palette will consist of sage greens, illuminating whites/cream, and darker maroons for contrast. Using these shades in tandem will evoke a whimsical and calming vibe for my BSG. I also want to incorporate animals and wildlife to create a wild and free feeling for my style guide.

My color palette will consist of various shades of green, golden, blue, brown, and cream. I want to evoke a bright, but natural tone, that emulates both the agricultural atmosphere I grew up around, and the glimmer of the ocean and its palm trees. I want my brand style guide to reflect this bright tone, while also showing the similarities between trees and the ocean.
