Learn how Wisconsin’s transition to a clean energy economy is accelerating new career paths.
Slipstream partnered with KEEP, WPPI Energy, and Xcel Energy to create education videos in support of local schools and to encourage young minds to consider career opportunities within the energy sector - especially the clean energy space. Join us for a behind the scenes look into some of the careers on the front line of the clean energy future and the people that are making an impact every day here in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Common Career Technical Standards
WHY a CAREER in CLEAN ENERGY?
In 2019, the governor of Wisconsin set a goal that all electricity consumed in the state be one-hundred percent carbon-free by 2050.
The transition to a clean energy economy is accelerating new career paths in the clean energy industry.
The job market for these careers is taking off and wages are excellent.
These careers provide workers with the opportunity to make a living while serving their community and helping Wisconsin meet its clean energy goal.

Fleet Technician - Youth Apprentice
A Youth Apprenticeship integrates school-based and work-based learning to instruct students in employability and occupational skills defined by Wisconsin industries.
An Automotive Technician diagnoses vehicle malfunctions, performs appropriate repairs and recommends/conducts regular vehicle maintenance.
