27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.

Observation of human behavior-

Whatever we choose to love and practice loving becomes attractive to us.

7 of 23

Ephesians 5

28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

8 of 23

Ephesians 5

29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of his body.

Preparation

The sons and daughters of God are in preparation.

We are created to bear, together with God, the weight of the glory of His kingdom in this life and the life that goes throughout eternity.

15 of 23

The eternal weight of Glory cannot be support by man alone but by The Spirit of God that lives in and fills the man and the woman.

16 of 23

22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.

Marriage is the picture of

Jesus and The Church

A Husband is commanded to give himself up for his wife. Like Jesus gave himself up for the church (for the husband).

1 Peter 3:7 ESV

Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

20 of 23

The natural inclinations of man are self-focused, self-preoccupied, and self-serving.

Marriage requires being other focused, other pre-occupied, and serving. This Love is modeled by God.
