About 7lbs of meat, and used 3 bags of chips, used only one salsa

Left over chips can be used at the movie on Saturday night

Line plates w/tin foil, cheese is not easy to clean

  • Fruit salad in 3 large ziplock bags
  • French toast casserole x 8 pans. Dust w/powdered sugar & drizzle with syrup. Each casserole serves 8 people
  • OJ x 4 half gallons
  • Milk x 2 gallons
  • Precooked bacon x 6
  • Log Cabin syrup- 1 Bottle

2023: 60 people-8 pans of casserole

2020: 55 people

Used 6.5 pans of casserole and 5 packs of bacon

2019: 45 people

Used 6 pans of casserole and 6 packs of bacon

Left over bacon can be used on sandwiches at lunch

Skip milk, almost no one drinks milk

    • Buns and rolls (about 1.5 per person?)
    • Black Forest ham x 2 Costco packages
    • Turkey x 2
    • Roast beef x 3
    • Cheese x 3 (mix of cheddar and swiss)
    • Lettuce
    • Tomatoes
    • Mustard
    • Mayonnaise
    • Onions
    • Chicken noodle soup or chili
    • Vegetable soup or vegetarian chili
    • Lemonade x 2
    • Fruit juice x 1

2020: 55 People

70 buns was about right (can use burger buns) and the above listedamount of meat was good

Brought Chili instead of soup in 2020 and 3 cans of vegetarian chili which worked really good as soup never seemed popular with boys

Can have left over fruit salad

Saturday Afternoon Snack

Serve @ 2:00

  • Large bag of oranges cut up
  • Left over chips and salsa
  • Left over guacamole
  • Veggie tray- 1 large
  • Oyster crackers 1 or 2 bags (boys eat that)

Skip the celery and carrots, the boys don’t

eat them. Consider alternatives possibly cheese sticks

Mainly oranges and oyster crackers then left over chips and anything else (even bacon)

Saturday Dinner

*Start food prep at 5:00

*Dinner served at 6:00

  • 100 Chicken pieces from Walmart (ask for everything but not wings). Order ahead for 5:15 pickup
  • Mac and cheese x 8 (start early, oven doesn’t work well)
  • Salad
  • Lemonade x 2
  • Bag of croutons
  • Couple of different salad dressings (one each)

In 2023-100 piece chicken & 8 Mac & Cheese was good

In 2020 with 55 people we needed 8 Mac & Cheese

In 2019 with 45 people only needed 5 Mac & cheese

100 Chicken pieces is correct. If fewer people are present then�its OK to have wings

  • Alternatively, we can have 1 large muffin and one small muffin/pastry per person (plus some extras)

French Toast Casserole (per pan)

  • 1 loaf cinnamon bread
  • 8 large eggs
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Powdered sugar (dust)
  • Syrup (drizzle)

  • Grease 9x13” baking dish
  • Cut cinnamon bread into 1” chunks. Place in the baking dish, making two layers
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, half & half, cinnamon and vanilla. Pour over bread, pressing to coat the bread well. Cover with a foil and refrigerate overnight
  • Next day, preheat oven to 350F
  • Bake for 45-70 min depending on how many pans are baked together
  • Cover with powdered sugar and syrup
