Work Plan – 35 points

• 5 areas each worth 5 points
• Add info from rubric into template
• Describes work to be funded by K12 SWP
• Description addresses Project Objectives
• Provides convincing description of how activities will improve CTE programs or pathways
• Coherent approach to intentionally improve outreach and increase targeted academic supports
• Provides list of project activities and expected outcomes; proposed activities are aligned to funded objectives and include clear outcomes

Coast High School

• Coast High School is in Silicon Valley Area
• Approximately 2000 students
• 50% Latinx, 40% Asian, 25% English Learners, 70% low socioeconomic
• School graduation rate is 87%, English Learners 78% (state is 73%)
• 22% of EL students do not graduate
• English Learners: ELA – 138 points below standard; math – 179 points below standard

Align Work Plan with Objectives

• Use objectives for work plan – you may work backward and forward.
• To meet student and industry need, we will establish a new Cybersecurity Pathway at Coast High School. Cybersecurity is a high-wage, high need field that will provide students with a livable wage. We will align our program with Sand Community College (CCC), establishing Early College Credit courses and a new Cybersecurity Guided Pathway.

• Don’t enter into system until everything is finalized

• Be sure not to duplicate items, or over commit staff
• Identify areas where you may be using other CTE funds (Perkins, CTEIG)
