Lección 7.3 – Verbos reflexivos – Reflexive Verbs
Levantarse (to get up) has reflexive pronoun “se” attached to the end. It requires the use of reflexive pronouns when the verb is conjugated. The reflexive pronoun agrees with the subject of the verb.
Me levanto temprano y me ducho. I get up early and I shower.� Mi hermano se ducha y se afeita. My brother takes a shower and shaves.
A reflexive pronoun placed at the end of a verb in the infinitive must still agree with the subject.
Prefiero bañarme en la noche. I prefer to bathe/shower at night.� Vamos a acostarnos tarde después de la fiesta. We are going to go to bed late after the party.
