Timeline for Registration

January 28th All Course Requests due for incoming 10^th, 11^th, and 12^th grades

January 28th JATC Open House 4:00-7:30 pm @ both campuses

February 14th JATC Applications Due

March 10^th Junior ACT Day

April 10th Start applying to SLCC if you plan to take a CE class next year. (Priority will be given to students who have an “S” number by the APRIL 10TH deadline)

April 24th Schedules released in Skyward

April 28^th Arena will open for Seniors at 3:00 pm

April 29th Arena will open for Juniors at 3:00 pm

April 30th Arena will open for Sophomores at 4:00 pm

May 1st Arena open for all students at 4:00 pm

July 1st Arena closes for the School Year

You will select your top 3 colleges to attend an information session. We have colleges and universities - something for everyone!

Special Classes

• Online
• Kings Peak - any full time students need to meet with the principal at Kings Peak
• Work Release
• You are responsible for 5 hours of work per week/per class
• Seniors can have up to 4 classes
• Juniors can have up to 2 classes
• February 14th- JATC Applications due.
• Visit www.jordantech.org to fill out an application
• Hair Design, Barbering, and Medical Assisting will not be listed as a second choice option. If you are hoping for one of these programs make sure to make it your first choice.
• Hair Design and Barbering - Should be taken in Junior year

The annual Jordan Academy for Technology & Careers (JATC) Open House will be held on January 28, 2026. The JATC has two campuses, one in West Jordan and a second campus in Riverton. Each location will host an open house showcasing the programs specific to that campus.

​

Be sure to attend the correct location of your preferred program/s.

​

​

*Auto Collision and Heavy Duty Diesel will have representatives at the South Campus during the Open House.

Audition classes

• Sport Teams, Music, Drama, Drill, and Cheer, etc.
• Add these classes as a course request in skyward. If you do not make the class, counselors will change the class later.
• These classes will be finalized by April. If you make it and have changed your mind after auditioning, you must have your counselor or the registrar remove it before Arena scheduling opens.

Concurrent Enrollment

• Complete course request in SKYWARD
• Apply to SLCC and have your “S” number by March 13th (this process could take several days so plan ahead and apply early)
• Go to the Career center for information on how to apply to SLCC or visit: rhsconcurrentenrollment.weebly.com
• For English, Math, Biology, History 1700, and Political Science, a SLCC placement test is required.
• Testing should be complete by April 10th to secure your spot in the class.
• If you do not test into the class, your counselor will help you find a new class for that period.

*Pay attention to what you need for graduation before deciding to take a JATC program as a junior. Depending on your program, you could only have 4 spots in your schedule for core classes.

Important Note

• You will be able to go into the request course menu and make changes until January 28th to put in requests
• Periods and teachers will be added later
• If you do not put in courses, your counselor will do it for you and your schedule will be built based on what is available.

NOW is the time to request classes!!

If you wait to change classes later you may be

very limited based on what is open.

We will not overfill classes!
