Why it is important
Archaeologists have found lots of Basketmaker Anasazi artifacts. The Paiute also found hoodoos around the area. Hoodoos are the legendary people that they thought could be the tricky Coyote made out of stone. Soon they started calling the hoodoos Anku-ku-was-a-wits.
