Remember that kindergarten is a time for young children to explore and discover their interests and abilities. Encouraging a mix of activities from various RIASEC types can help children develop a wide range of skills and interests, setting a strong foundation for their future development.

  1. Students will watch the video “Jobs I Can Have When I Grow Up” (11:28)

  • Students will make connections to the jobs in the video to the six RIASEC themes. Students will create their own set of RIASEC paddles to hold up and share what career aligns to what RIASEC theme

  • Complete the Snowmen at Work activities that support the story
  • Activity 1: Dress your snowman and write about it
  • Activity 2: Sort the jobs the snowmen do and do not do
  • Activity 3: Create a retelling storybook

  • Create a class list of jobs that are in the school building
