Arrival & Dismissal �Procedures

Arrival

• Students may arrive at 8:25am
• Please do not send students prior to 8:25am. Staff will not be on site to supervise prior to 8:25am.
• Students will line up and enter at different locations around the building.
• PreK and K at the front of the building (Main Doors)
• 1^st grade at the front of the building (1st Grade Hallway Doors)
• 2^nd grade at the Art Room Doors (back of the building)
• 3^rd grade at the Music Room Doors (back of the building)
• 4^th grade at the Gym Doors (back of the building)
• 5^th at the front of the building (5th Grade Hallway Doors)

Arrival Safety

• Staff members will be positioned at each grade level door.
• Staff will also be positioned around the building to be sure all students are safe when walking to doors at the back of the building.
• Staff members will be at the car loop to help/assist students in getting to the correct location.
• Staff will be labeling student’s backpacks with a bus tag on the first day of school. Please DO NOT remove the bus tag.
• Kindergarten students will have a second bus tag to indicate they are Kindergarten age.

Dismissal

• Car riders & Daycare pickup will be dismissed through the car loop.

*Please note on the arrival & dismissal diagrams – NO LEFT TURN into the car loop.

• Bus riders will line up inside the school and be dismissed through the doors at the front of the building.
• All walkers will exit through the back of the building at the school blacktop/playground.
• Signs for each grade level area will be posted in the windows to assist parents with pick up.

Grade Level Colors

• All grade levels have an assigned color for 22-23 school year.
• Pre-K & K – RED
• 1^st – Orange
• 2^nd – Purple
• 3rd - Yellow
• 4^th – Green
• 5^th - Blue
• Arrival and Dismissal Signs are color coded to match each grade level.
• Arrival signs are posted on the assigned entry doors.
• Dismissal signs are on the windows at the back of the building.

Transportation Reminders

• Please be sure to complete the SES Transportation Survey
• Paper copies and QR codes are available on students desks today
• Dismissal often takes longer during the first week of school
• Arrive at your bus stop early in the morning, but expect it to be late
• Arrive at your child’s bus stop early in the afternoon, but expect it to be late

Breakfast

• All students will be offered an OPTIONAL free breakfast in the morning when they enter the building.
• Students will be eating breakfast in the classroom.
• If you do not want your child to eat breakfast in the classroom, please talk with them about declining breakfast.

Lunch

• Complete the Lunch Survey if you have not already done so
• If a family does not complete the survey, students will automatically be seated indoors.
• Outdoor seating is available for all students weather and staffing permitting
