If a student is excluded from school you are not allowed to:

  • Be on campus
  • Attend classes
  • Participate in sports, clubs, or other extracurricular activities
  • Have access to Wake ID, Canvas, Student email, etc.

**These will count as unexcused absences**

FINAL EXAM EXEMPTIONS

Students may be exempt from the final exam if they:

  • Have a projected final grade of an A (90 or above) and no more than 3 unexcused absences
  • Have a projected final grade of a B (80 or above) and no more than 1 unexcused absence
  • Have no more than 4 tardies in the course
  • Have no Honor Code violations

Students cannot be exempt from state testing including field testing

**Note about absences**

  • School-sponsored field trips do not count toward absences
  • College visits can be an excused educational absence, but must be approved in advance by the principal
  • For absences to be excused, you must turn in documentation to the attendance office within 2 days after returning to school. All documentation will be reviewed to determine if the absence can be excused.
