Microplastics are small plastic particles less than 5 mm in size, resulting from the degradation of larger plastic debris and the shedding of synthetic fibres.
Introduction
Microplastics
Soil Contamination
Food Contamination
Water Contamination
Air contamination
Pollution caused by the tourism also causing microplastic contamination
Some local communities are not able to detect the presence of Microplastics and hence, are getting affected by that.
Solution Needed to remove this contamination from the local water bodies
Nanoparticles as cleansing agents
Nanoparticles, due to their high surface area-to-volume ratio and unique chemical properties
Future Scopes
Developing Filter system incorporating the nanoparticles sieves.
Using an environmentally friendly development of new generation of low toxic Nanoparticles Sieves
Developing low-cost Filter system.
