Launched by Business Next Media in 2011, Meet has supported startups to grow and identify new opportunities by creating industry events that facilitate resource sharing and collaboration within the ecosystem.

In 2014, Meet launched the first original startup exhibition brand and it has becomes one of iconic startup festival in Asia. In 2024, more than 500 enterprises and startups including 120 from oversea, with 55,000 visitors participated in the exhibition.

Meet Taipei serves as a key gathering point for Taiwan's startup ecosystem, offering a snapshot of the startup landscape. Meanwhile, Meet Greater South has reshaped regional industrial and startup development, driving rapid growth and fostering networking opportunities within the local community.

AI is no longer just a buzzword — it has become the true catalyst for transformation.

From computing infrastructure and search algorithms to content creation and product development, AI has evolved from isolated breakthroughs into a powerful engine driving transformation across industries.

In this changing landscape, startups are not just participants — they are leading the way of how innovation happens. Corporations like MediaTek and Wistron are embracing open collaboration, co-developing applications and accelerating product validation with startups. Meanwhile, Taiwan’s government is launching a multi-billion NT dollar AI initiative, building forward-looking platforms to support innovation. Together, industry and policy form a strong foundation that empowers startups to grow and scale.

At the same time, solo entrepreneurs are using AI tools to overcome barriers of scale and resources—developing products, building brands, and competing globally. The definition of entrepreneurship is evolving.

Meet Taipei Startup Festival first opened to international startups in 2016, providing free exhibition resources to establish connections between Taiwan and international startups. In 2019, the Global Pavilion at Meet Taipei reached its peak, featuring participation from over 10 international cities and 100 international startups, including foreign entrepreneurs who set up businesses in Taiwan.

Starting in 2022, 40 overseas startups were invited to participate once again! Last year, nearly 100 overseas startups returned to Taiwan to exhibit. For the 12th anniversary of Meet Taipei, we look forward to welcoming participation from 10+ cities and 100+ international startups once again!

Young Sparks – Student Startup Hub

As AI technology redefines the meaning of innovation and entrepreneurship, the untapped potential within campuses is emerging at an unprecedented pace.

To spotlight this energy, Meet Taipei 2025 introduces a brand-new curated zone: Young Sparks – Student Startup Hub.� In close collaboration with university incubators and flagship startup programs, this initiative brings together promising student-led teams with bold entrepreneurial ideas. Whether it’s an early-stage concept or a working prototype, teams will have the opportunity to showcase their vision on a larger stage.

Ten standout teams will be selected to exhibit in the dedicated zone and pitch at the Meet Young Spark Demo Show.� This is more than a showcase — it’s an open platform connecting campus innovation with the broader startup ecosystem.

The zone will feature a wide range of themes, from tech applications and social innovation to sustainable design and creative culture, reflecting how Gen Z founders envision and shape the future. It will also link universities, corporate partners, and youth-focused startup resources to build a clear pathway from campus to industry.

This is a space where the next generation of entrepreneurs won't just be seen — they'll be recognized as part of the ecosystem.

As per tradition, the opening ceremony will be held on the first day of the exhibition, inviting high-level officials from the central government, distinguished guests from the business community, and key figures from international industry, government, and academia to participate and share their insights. The opening will feature a highly creative and innovative performance to symbolize the prelude to Meet Taipei Startup Festival.

On Meet Taipei Day 1, a VIP lunch (or dinner) will be hosted depending on the event schedule. Dancing With AI

This year’s Global Startup Ecosystem Forum echoes the main theme “Dancing with AI”, offering a deep dive into how AI is reshaping the entrepreneurial landscape. From the perspectives of venture capital, talent transformation, infrastructure, to real-world applications, the forum will unpack the full scope of this transformation. Through cross-disciplinary dialogue, we aim to redefine the starting line and unlock new growth paradigms.

We are witnessing a quiet but profound shift in the startup ecosystem. The traditional model—raising funds, assembling teams, and building products—is being restructured by the rise of AI.

AI is not just speeding up development; it is fundamentally rewriting how startups design their workflows and allocate resources. Entrepreneurs are no longer simply problem-solvers, but co-designers with AI, exploring solutions in entirely new ways.

Meet Neo Star Demo Show

Since 2011, Business Next Media has held the Demo Show annually to select Neo Star, with candidates chosen from nearly 250 startups interviewed over the past two years. After initial and secondary evaluations by the judges, the top 30 startups of the year, known as Neo Star, are selected. These Neo Stars will take the stage at the Demo Show, where they have 6 minutes to pitch before an audience of 20+ venture capitalists and corporate representatives, aiming to secure the funding, resources, and opportunities their teams seek.

As of November 2023, we have selected nearly 400 Neo Star startups, with over 80% of them experiencing further growth and development.

The Meet Young Spark Demo Show is an electrifying stage dedicated to the entrepreneurs of the future. For the first time at Meet Taipei, startup sparks from universities, colleges, and incubation platforms were invited to compete. The top 10 most promising Young Spark teams, each with refined ideas, will take the stage to pitch their startups, demonstrate prototypes, and engage in live Q&A—showcasing their solutions to the world within a limited time.

This Demo Show is not just a contest of creativity but a test of execution and potential. A panel of investors, industry mentors, and corporate representatives will provide practical advice and immediate feedback. Selected teams will gain access to acceleration and incubation resources, as well as opportunities for follow-up funding and partnership.

More than a competition, this is a formal launch beyond the campus—a stepping stone onto the entrepreneurial stage. We invite every audience member to witness how entrepreneurship can start during student years and even change the world.
