Feel free to document any of the following for the required Reading time per day:

*Parents, it’s important for your child to hold the book in their hands; understanding what is the front, back and spin of the book.

Practice reading the book every day. Your parents can help the first couple of days but by the end of the week you should be able to read the story all by yourself.

Your child will also spend a few weeks with a mini robot called a Sphero Spark Mini. As the school only has a limited number of these robots, they will be rotated from grade level to grade level. �

This week you will listen to these Fresh Picked Fields music videos that will help you understand rhythm and beat. Before you start, thing of a sound you can make when you see these pictures.

Each picture should have a different sound you come up with. It can be a sound you make with your mouth, your hands or an object in your house.

Just make sure to keep the beat while listening! Try changing sounds or having another person in your family make a different sound on the beats at the same time!!
