Back-to-back

  1. Stand or sit back-to back with your partner
  2. Look at your card. One partner should start to describe the phrase on their card without using any of the words on the card.
  3. The partner must guess what their teammate is describing. If they guess correctly, the team gets 1 point.
  4. As you play, switch roles.

Project Idea Makeover

  • Ms. Rachel is a new teacher.
  • Her students often seem unengaged and she struggles to keep them on task.
  • She wants to transform some of her "dessert" activities into more meaningful projects.
  • With a partner, read through the descriptions of the activities on the Padlet and suggest ways Ms. Rachel can make them more aligned with PBLL.

2. How can peers support each other in learning? What kind of feedback did his peers give him?

3. What are some of the ways you use peer feedback and collaboration in your class? What are some of the ways you might build in collaboration and feedback into your project?

  • Use your rubrics to create checklists for your assignments.

  • Checklists are very versatile and can be used for self-checking work, peer feedback, and instructor feedback.
