Based on ERHS Data 2019-2022:

What did the data reveal to us about our students’ needs? Comments gathered at 10/28 FOL Meeting.

  • EL Learners 20% of students did not graduate year 2021 (how to make it more equitable for students with needs)
  • More attention for students who are in tough situations or students that are EL, Special Needs, or Foster/Homeless.
  • School Site Counselors/Mentor Program for those students of case?
  • D/F’s data should reflect years before the pandemic
  • “Technology” we are offering is limited to chromebooks that are half blocked in data and contents that students can use. Expand technology.
  • Nutrition and food should be different for each grade level and age appropriate that can help students function academically. Better food = Better Education

Based on ERHS Data 2019-2022:

Identified 3 to 5 Student Learner Needs that We Should Focus On.

Comments gathered at 10/28 FOL Meeting.

Increase opportunities for students to make up classes and missing credits to alleviate low D/F rate. Perhaps on weekends.

EL learners are increasing in number and have a lower graduation rate than the entire class. EL learners might need to have more support to increase graduation rates.

  • Provide support for the academic and social emotional needs of our EL, Special Needs, students with D/F’s, & Foster/Homeless students students.
    • A full time on-site resource teacher for ELs
  • Technology needs to be updated, technology and innovation is overlooked at the high school level- (focus has been in middle and elementary school).
  • To increase college/career readiness consider requiring students to do one of the following: dual enrollment, ROP pathway, AP/IB courses & exams, 4 years of language, complete A-G requirements.
