The Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project, Inc. (CLYLP) is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 with the primary purpose of preparing students to participate in California’s economic, social and political development. CLYLP is guided by the overall theme "California’s Future Leaders," and our programs emphasize the importance of the 4 “C’s”:

Program participants attend powerful workshops and seminars that will enhance leadership skills, academic preparedness, self-esteem, cultural awareness, and provide an understanding of state and local government. Travel, housing, and meals are provided.

FREE of cost to all participants!

  • Be enrolled in a California high school for the 2024-2025 academic year

  • Currently be in either 10th or 11th grade at the time of application

  • You MUST be able to attend the entire program week/weekend. No partial attendance allowed.

  • Regional Institute: reside in the designated counties for that institute

  • All students eligible for the Statewide Leadership Conference
