AMBITIONS

In my role of ‘Head Chef’ I believe that the ambition behind my character is to become a better chef. One that claims accolades and is in magazines. This is what will drive my role, thinking that I deserve better than my current role in the hotel. Whilst my acting and lines will highlight I’m truly not that good of a chef and make the scene even funnier.

COSTUME

I would like my costume for the role of ‘Head Chef’ to be quite realistic. Due to this my costume will be quite simple as most chef’s wear, chef whites (Which is the white shirt and black pants most chef’s wear under an apron) and an apron. In particular I hope to wear a striped apron, in homage to the 1990 ‘The witches’ movie as that is what the kitchen staff was wearing in those scenes.

COLOUR BOARD

  • The colour board for the ‘Head Chef is also quite simplistic. This is due to both the monochrome nature of the costume and the focused, driven nature found in most chefs. Similar to the saying that some people can find everything ‘black or white’, so to is the chef’s view of the kitchen. The food is either good or it is not. It is either done right or wrong. In my research of chef’s, I have found that if a chef has not done something correctly the entire batch is discarded and started again. Therefore, my colour board must reflect this nature.
