Rapid Expansion: �causes & effects

1.Several competing European empires grew extremely rapidly during the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

2.The rapid expansion was do to the advances that were made because of the Second Industrial Revolution.

Overview of the Second Industrial Revolution

At the end of the 19th Century we see an increase in the use of oil, steel and electricity which lead to big changes in the economy. This took place in many countries such as Britain, Germany, France and the United States.
