OUR CHALLENGE and MISSION

The video project aims to highlight and fund the work of social entrepreneurs around the world through short videos that could be easily viewed and shared on our platform.

Background & Challenge

Ecosystem for social entrepreneurs is underdeveloped. People have great ideas but they currently lack a launchpad.

“When I was 8-12 years old, I was dreaming of becoming a cartoonist and graphic designer, which made me feel like I want to move someone’s heart by my story of cartoon.

Since then I was enticed with designing the story of someone and something more interesting. When I become the graphic designer and film creator, I realized myself that there are so many different type of story of country and people.

After joining OYW Hague Summit as the Japanese delegate in 2018, I wholeheartedly wanted to accelerate the social actions by making the videos of OYW delegates all over the world, I founded Guter bergs where Social entrepreneur can share your story freely Through changing the concept of media.Guter bergs is visual media platform to Expand your social project while One young world is the real time platform.

  • Received his Bachelor's from Occidental College, LA, USA and his Masters from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, MA, USA.
  • Worked for a microfinance and direct trade NPO in Honduras.
  • Has professional experience at an investment bank (US firm) and consulting (UK firm).
  • Current Founder and Chairperson of Youth Who Code, an NPO that is making tech education more accessible to all.

“As Asia 2 Coordinating Ambassador, my main responsibility is to build a community of OYW Ambassadors within the Asia region. Through my role, I’ve been able to see the amazing work that is being done by our Ambassadors across the region and I’d like to use this project as a springboard to highlight their stories and wonderful initiatives. I believe the Guter bergs project is the perfect platform in doing so.”

  • Born in December 18, 1991 in Tokyo
  • Graduated from Waseda University and enrolling in the Global Online MBA at the IE Graduate School of Business in Spain.
  • Joined British consulting firm EY in 2014 and was involved in the establishment of Japan's first female advancement promotion consulting team.
  • In 2018, joined the public services division of the US consulting firm Accenture, engaged in trade and investment policy, SME policy proposals, and support for the establishment of the microfinance institution "Gramin Japan“.
  • Selected as 2018 One Young World ambassador and joined Hague Summit and works as Japan Coordinating Ambassador post- summit.

Story

”My passion at OYW is that making OYW social project accelerator, not conference to discuss without actions. In the past OYWs, I was heartbroken that many people were only inspired but did not take any action after the summit for the people suffering from social issues. Therefore, I felt the need to create a platform for delegates and ambassadors in each country to take action for next year's OYW Tokyo Summit and is taking a leadership role in establishing Guter bergs.”

  • Worked on educational projects in Tohoku and HIV/AIDs prevention project in Kenya in her university period.
  • Works as consultant at US consulting firm and contributing to purpose-driven business for utility and energy companies in Japan.

“I have experienced several projects in Japan and Africa to encourage global education for next generation.

I decided to work as an intern since I sympathized with the concept that OYW faces with the passion of each participants and empowers them to become a leader.

  • Selected as 2018 One Young World ambassador and joined Hague Summit to gain inspiration to solve social inequality.
  • Working as OYW Japan Intern post-summit to assist actions in Japan to solve social issues.
