The Problem

Most of the effort in the field of healthcare is curative and not preventive. Fitness apps concentrate on the amount of workout, calorie count etc and not what is going on inside the body.

If only we took a closer look at what is happening in our body, preventing diseases would have been easier.

​

The easiest way to do this is to “read your breath”.

• Vayu reads your breath like a book by analyzing the VOCs (Volatile organic compounds) which are pre-cursors to diseases and tells you if you have early symptoms of any diseases or if you already might have one which you might not be aware of.

• This device also checks your lung function which might have been affected due of various factors like Covid, smoking, asthma etc.

• This is also a great tools for athletes and fitness freaks who want to measure their performance to know if the body is burning fat or carbs for energy, so that they can modify their food intake accordingly.

• Age: 37 years
• Work: Working in an ad agency

Bio – Harish is a heavy smoker and works in a very stressful environment in an Ad agency. He is aware that smoking is harming to his lungs and can lead to other diseases as well. He wants to keep a check on his health but does not want to keep visiting the clinic.

Vayu can help him keep track of his health by testing him periodically from the convenience of his house.

Bio

Ruchi recently contacted Covid and is in her recovery stage. She need to keep a constant lookout for infection in her lungs as her immune system has weakened cause of it. This would mean regular visit to the clinic.

Vayu can help her track her lung health and be alerted of any infection as soon as it starts, which helps in early intervention and cure

Mohan is a national level athlete and is extremely active physically. He needs to keep a track of his lung function and control his diet for peak performace

Vayu helps him check for this lung function and give him feedback on his breathing patterns. It also analyses his breath to calculate if his body is burning fat or carbs so that he can take his next meal accordingly

2.Transmit all the data coming from the handheld device to the app via Bluetooth

3.The app must be able to absorb all the data without data loss and transmit it to the servers for evaluation

5.App should be able to suggest corrective actions to the user is any VOC’s or anomalies are detected

6. App should be able to store data of the last 5 tests

7. The device should be able to do a LFT and display results and display results in 1 min

8. Suggest corrective measure if any anomaly is found

Competition and our Differentiator

• There are 2 possible competitor for us in this field

What sets our product apart is that Lumen only focuses on telling if your body is burning fat or carb. NDD is only for testing lung function. We plan to do both

Also, Lumen and and NDD do not have operations in India.

Recommendation

Vayu provides a condensed view of a person’s health in a palm sized device. This is easy to use and can give results up to 98% accuracy

There is no other such device in the market with such capability which combines all 3 features into a single product. Its competitors either do not provide all these features or are not present in the Indian market.

Investing and releasing this product would give us a first mover’s advantage and we can quickly capitalize the Indian market. Our competitor (like Lumen and NDD) do not have a plan to enter the Indian market in the near future, giving us a monopoly

Our conservative goal is to sell 5000 piece in the first year of operation. This number can be surpassed given that now is the opportune time to investing in such a device owing to the pandemic situation and increased awareness towards respiratory health
