Your 3 sentence biography: Hello......um, my name is Kathy Romack and I'm a 50 year old Disney addict. My wonderful husband tries to act like he's just as interested in this obsession as I am......garsh I love that guy! I'm a Medical Technologist who does drug testing, dna testing for communicable diseases, and flow cytometry for leukemia/lymphoma diagnosis-I have worked at my hospital lab for 26 years and I have 2 children (dd age 21, ds age 20) and 3 step-children (dss age 22, dsd age 18, and dss age 16). So that's a run-on sentence if I ever saw one
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? Well, my first trip to the park (there was only Magic Kingdom at the time) was the summer of 1976, it was the summer before my freshman year in high school. Number 2 trip was with my ex...we had a one day WDW visit post cruise. Number 3 and 4 visit were when my kids were little, also with my ex.....Dec of 1996, then summer of 1997 or 98? (my dd had a National Dance Competition in Orlando). I've been twice with my husband now, summer of 2000 (with just my kids, another dance competion) then again with his kids and my kids summer of 2004 (another dance competition). Dh told me after that last trip that our next one would be without ANY kids, lol!
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):Hubby and I are finally getting back to WDW.....it'll be our 12th Anniversay later in the month. We've been planning since February and I lured dh with a promise of seeing WWoHP too. We fly out of StL early sat Dec 8th, stay one night at Royal Pacific Resort at IOA (we'll get that first day/night then early admission the next day to IOA/US). Sun Dec 9th we move over to POR for 8 glorious nights. On the afternoon of Dec 17th you will find me at MCO, red-eyed from tears of sadness over leaving.
Why did you choose December? Hubby and I both LOVE Christmas-time so it was the perfect choice. While I've seen the decorations and some of the special events, i.e. Osbourne Lights, ds has not. I KNOW he will be as overwhelmed as I will be!
What are you most looking forward to? One thing? I think I'm most looking forward to MVMCP? I've never been to that. I can't wait to get a pic with the 7 Dwarfs. I know we'll be in line for that one! Oh, and the food......I like food!
My most cherished upcoming ADR: There are a lot of new ADRs for us. I think maybe California Grill, if only because it will be my first and last as it will be closing for major renovations the following month
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): I'm a cupcake freak so I think I'm really excited about trying several around the World!
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Aren't most of us Disney freaks OCD? I'm trying really hard to not plan every last moment of this trip. I guess it's because we haven't been a zillion times...we have lots to see!
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - I haven't done the touring plan yet. I don't want to be so strict with the plans that we miss some spontaneity. Trying to keep it middle of the road.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) I'm thinking about trying out one of those weird margaritas at WS.....but you will definitely find me with my camera in my eyeballs the whole time. lol
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Oh, I have no idea! I'll tell you I really like Eeyore. I'm not like him at all as I'm pretty upbeat and positive but my dad was a lot like Eeyore and he LOVED Disney....he passed away in 1997. I'm bringing my Eeyore with me on this trip!
I love this photo....this was my first December WDW trip...my kids were 5 and 6 yo at the time and they loved Wilderness Lodge as much as I did. I love this photo because it epitomizes their close relationship which is just as strong 15 years later!

My most cherished upcoming ADR: 8:05AM at CRT.

My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Never heard it this way...I think I'd go with commando.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - I've planned out which parks will be on which day, and what the ADRs are (usually two per day), but I'm not planning rides/attractions in a specific order.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade): Running around the parks, trying to get everything in. Tipsy at Jellyrolls on Monday night would also be a good possibility.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: If I can branch out to Pixar I'd go with Woody, because I grew up with him. Speaking only Disney, I'd go with Simba. Just a cool cat.
Halloween, 2007

Why did you choose December? We usually go in October for the Halloween events, but after going at Christmas time a couple years ago, I really wanted to see it all again.

My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - A little of both. We have a couple ADRs and know roughly which park we are going to on what days. Beyond that we will make it up as we go.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Getting my picture taken...we stop at every Photopass person we see! With characters, without characters...doesn't matter, we are there!

Your 3 sentence biography: Thirty-something librarian, mom, and wife. Born and raised on Maui, and currently living on the island again, but consider the Bay Area in California where DH and DS5 were born "home". DVC members, Disneyland AP holders, reader, dreamer, organizer, gamer, travel lover, and foodie.
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? 2nd for me, first was in 1992. First for everybody else in my party except DH (coincidentally, also 1992).
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):November 30-December 15, 2+ years in the planning ... 8 people including DH, myself, our best friend, our friends who happen to be his brother & wife, and their kids who are 7 and 4 and great playmates with DS5.
Why did you choose December? DBF's birthday and mine are both the first week of December, his brother's is in between and his brother's wife's is also December, so what better way to procrastinate ... I mean celebrate .... getting older? Plus we prefer cool weather to heat, wanted to see the Osborne lights, and if I'd graduated when originally scheduled this was to be a celebration for finishing my MLIS.
What are you most looking forward to? Spending time with our dear friends. We don't get to hang out with our travel partners enough since they live so far away.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Chefs de France. Adore French food, the atmosphere and Remy look great, and its DBF's 40th birthday lunch.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Nutella waffle at Sleepy Hollow. I may have a hazelnut addiction ...
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Somewhere in between.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - We have which park-per-day planned, ADR's scheduled (1 per day), then a priority list of attractions we want to see with the ones we can't see in California at the top. As long as everyone in our large party gets to see their "one thing" per day, we'll be happy. Or maybe just the kids as the adults often overlap on what we like to do anyways.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) If you hear exclamations of 'that's just so much bigger here'! Or the ones who look perpetually lost since our Disney map in our heads is of DLR ...
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Marlin,
from Nemo. I worry too much for my own good, but still like to
enjoy an adventure every now and then ...
DH (then DF) & I in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in 2008,
right around New Year's. Only time we've been in Disney for
the winter holidays. Hoping to get another one in front of
Cinderella's Castle this year, maybe wearing the same things?

First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? 7th trip! Hoping for many more.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): We are arriving in Orlando on December 1st and checking into Wilderness Lodge and staying until the 8th.
Why did you choose December? This was actually my DH's idea. He is slowly becoming more hooked than I am. We were originally planning a Feb. trip, but who am I to argue. Plus I love Christmastime.
What are you most looking forward to? Staying at Wilderness Lodge! It is such a beautiful resort in general, but I can't wait to see it all decorated for Christmas.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: BOG! It's an early dinner but I feel so lucky to be one of the first to try it!
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Dole Whip Float!
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Both. I like to have some ADRs set and have a general idea of where we will be. But, I can totally switch to commando mode if a park is too busy for my liking.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - aking too long to get here! We have always been last minute bookers, no more than 2 months out, but this one we planned a little too much in advance.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) enjoying BTMRR and Splash over and over again. I just love them so.

grrrlennyl
Your 3 sentence biography: I was born and raised on the southwest side of Chicago and have bounced around to various neighborhoods until moving to Ukrainian Village a few years ago. I'm queer and polyamorous, and I currently have two partners, one who is a lover of all things Disney. I live with my other partner and three cats, and I'm a knitter, spinner (yarn), cold-weather quilter, lapsed yogi, sometimes-photographer, amateur ukulele player, and public transportation-traveler.
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW?: This will be my fifth trip, and the second one with my partner. My previous ones were all with my family. (See my sig!)
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): My partner and I are basically trying to relive our amazingly wondering trip from last year. This time, we're staying an extra day, which will be nice. We'll be staying at the Little Mermaid section of Art of Animation and enjoying our upgrade to the DDP from the free QSDP we got.
Why did you choose December? Last year, my partner was looking for a job and was feeling pretty pessimistic. She randomly said, if I get a job, can we go to Disney World? I said, "Sure," and then, well, she got a job and we started planning. It looked like December was the soonest we could go that would allow us to save up money and enjoy lower crowds. Plus, Christmas decorations!
What are you most looking forward to? The Fantasyland Expansion. I'm hoping to have lunch at BOG (I managed to get a dinner ADR!) and it will be so nice to go on the Little Mermaid ride and check out everything else. Yay! Mostly, though, I'm looking forward to getting away with my partner and having time for just us doing something really fun.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: That's such a hard question. BOG is the one that I'm 99% sure I won't be able to move to a different day, so I won't be letting going of that one anytime soon. I'm really looking forward to both of our repeats from last year ('Ohana and Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater), too, since they were all-around great experiences. Honestly, though, I am looking for every single one of our ADRs for different reasons.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): I'm going to talk snack credits here. Ha. I love being able to get vegan ice cream, shakes, and floats, so that's pretty nice. I also like grabbing a muffin while we're leaving a park so that we can have it for breakfast the next day. I'm excited about checking out some (definitely not-vegan) cupcakes this time.
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Commando at first, but once we've crossed all of our to-dos (which includes must-dos and would-like-to-dos) off our list, we like to wander and relax and take breaks.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Ha! Kind of like the above. We have plans, but mostly on where to be in the morning and what to do first. We definitely have things we want to experience, but we're good about going with the flow.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade): Going on rides multiple times, grabbing Fast Passes, enjoying CS and TS meals, and taking in the sites at different resorts. No parks or outside shows for us (except for Beauty and the Beast). Oh, and my partner will be trading tons of Vinyls. Ha!
The Disney character that is most like me and why: This is a hard one! I think I'd either pick Lilo because I really value my friendships or Rapunzel because I have million things that I like to do.

My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Like I said, we will be using RideMax and we are always at rope drop. So I guess that would be planned down to the second.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Taking pictures! My first trip to Disney was in December but the only things I remember about it have nothing to do with Disney (matching purple leisure suits for my sister and I (it was the 1980's after all) and the stewardess dropping a pile of dirty dishes on me (back in the day when china and silverware were dill used on planes). My son and I have had a tough year; I'll just say my husband left me and leave it at that). I want to give him the magic of Disney at Christmas.
What are you most looking forward to? Reimagined Test Track. Le Cellier filet for lunch. Character meals for my son. Dole Whip(s). Wishes Dessert Party. Everest. Star Tours. TSMM.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Le Cellier is my fave and it's a toss up for my son between Chef Mickey's or Tusker House
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): anything from Starring Rolls
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Combo. Depends on our mood and the day.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - ADR's are locked in since the 180 mark. The rest will unfold from there!
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Snapping photos at every opportunity while carrying the backpack, eyeballing my son while explaining, for what will feel like the hundredth time "you know, we will be here for 5 days...you don't have to spend all your money today" and loving every minute of it!
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Minnie. She's sweet, lovable and wears killer heels!
Destructsean
Your 3 sentence biography: Born and raised in the burbs of Philadelphia. Currently working as a Case Manager RN at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Lover of everything Disney.
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? Fifth, fourth as an adult. Also have been to Disneyland four times.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):It's our honeymoon! We'll be getting married on December 1st and flying out on the 2nd for 14 days at Wyndham Bonnet Creek.
Why did you choose December? Christmastime at Disney? Is there any better time? It's just overwhelming. Having it line up with our wedding just made it perfect.
What are you most looking forward to? Ohana. Bread. Pudding. Just..wow.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Well, I'm tempted to say Be Our Guest on 12/11 before the Christmas party (partly since it took us 3 hours to obtain!) However, California Grill has become a tradition for me and the little lady. Having it be one of the ways we celebrate our honeymoon is just going to make it amazing.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Is the bread pudding a snack? Because if so, that. As far as for looking forward to? I've never had Tonga Toast. Holy CRAP do I want to try Tonga Toast. Or a napoleon. Or School Bread. THERE IS TOO MUCH!
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Commando. I want to experience it all. You never know what tomorrow brings, and I'm a "let's make the most of every second" type of guy.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - If it was 100% up to me it would be planned to the second, however she seems to think the honeymoon is about her too. I'm a planner. I have all of our ADRs ready, but I'm trying to relax a bit so we have some "sit around and enjoy the moment" times.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Tipsy? More like stumbling at WS in EPCOT. Some of my favorite memories of the World include forgetting I'm not actually in Italy. You'll find me there, with the biggest smile imaginable. Or, sitting outside of Ohana in tears from eating so much bread pudding.
The Disney character that is most
like me and why: I asked my fiance,
and she immediately said Grumpy.
Gruff on the outside, but a softy once
you get down to it.
Photo Show & Tell (tell us a bit about
this 1 pic you want to share)
The left is me and the big guy in 1995,
and the right is from our last trip in
January. Big difference, huh?
EeyoreJen
Your 3 sentence biography: I am 34, work full-time, go to school full-time and have an 11 year old daughter. I live in Southern Maryland but plan on being in Florida, where I was born, in 2014. I love Disney and Eeyore is my FAV character ever.
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? Zillionth although only have stayed on site three times and Christmas will be my first time anywhere other than All Star Resorts.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):Surprise Christmas present for my daughter. December 20th-30th at POR RR all week except the last night which is room only at AoA Little Mermaid Rooms.
Why did you choose December? Christmas at Disney...need I say more?
What are you most looking forward to? The look on my daughter's face when she finds out.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Be Our Guest because I worked so hard for it!! lol
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Frozen bananas and pretzels and caramel apples and rice krispie treats...that'll do for now
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? When I have little time it is definitely Commando. For this trip I'm hoping to slow down and just enjoy so maybe somewhere in the middle.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - In between - ADRs and parks are planned but the rest is flexible.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Standing in line for the Rockin Roller Coaster or in the shops
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Cinderella - no matter how hard I work, I'm waiting for the day that my dreams will come true.
sunnysideup3
Your 3 sentence biography: Mom. Planner. Disney-Dreamer. Mom to a wonderful almost 5 year old Eli and wife to Nathan. I love the magic of Disney and the feeling I get from planning the next trip there. Proud Wisconsinite, an Event Planner by occupation and a girl who just wants to have fun!
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? This will be my 4th trip to Walt Disney World.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):Dates are November 29-December 8th. We had gone last year with my parents during this same week and loved it! Our son, Eli, was the perfect age and enjoyed everything. He had also hit the coveted 40' mark, so he got to go on the rides he'd been asking about, like Splash and BTMRR. When we came back, I had the post-Disney blues and he kept asking to go back. We didn't think we could afford it, but did a couple changes and ended up booking the trip in January. We decided to keep it a surprise from him, and it's been so great listening to him talk about how he wants to go back so badly, and how the characters miss him, etc! We can't wait for the surprise!
Why did you choose December? When I went in 2001 with my parents and brother, we went the week of Thanksgiving and it was a zoo! When my in-laws decided they wanted to go in 2009, I picked that first week of December because it's the best time for me to get off work. We didn't do ANY research that trip, so there were hiccups, but I did like the time of the year, so when scheduling our 2011 trip, wanted to keep it that same time. I think that will always be our "trip week" when going to Disney in the future.
What are you most looking forward to? This trip is the first time just the three of us. I'm looking forward to the surprise, just because I know how much he's been wanting to go back. I'm also looking forward to the little surprises, like the Royal Room we have booked, or the Ohana breakfast, because he fell in love with Lilo and Stitch this year and doesn't know about that breakfast/character interaction.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Definitely BOG, because I was up at the crack of dawn to get it, after praying and hoping for a year that "Holiday 2012" really mean early December. We love B&TB in our house, and I've never eaten at CRT, so this will be my first "castle-like" experience.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): I love-LOVE-the caramel corn from Karamelle Kuche. I ate two bags my last trip! I also really loved the Carrot Cake Cookie from Writer's Stop in DHS.
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? We definitely plan what parks we want to go to and plan our ADR's around that, and maybe the "MUST DO" rides, but I haven't laid out ride by ride plans. This year I really want to do things we haven't done yet, which is surprisingly a lot. We get stuck doing the things we love over and over and sometimes don't take time to discover new things. We all need to ride Dumbo for the first time (SHAME! I know!)
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Planned as far as flights, TS ADR's, Parks, and suggested CS's (based on past experiences, etc) but not rides. Just making sure we do our favorites and some "new stuff".ner. I have all of our ADRs ready, but I'm trying to relax a bit so we have some "sit around and enjoy the moment" times.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) You will find me behind the lens of a camera. I didn't bring my good DSLR in 2011 because I didn't want to lug it around, but I really missed being able to take quality shots, so I will be documenting as much of this trip as I can.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Rex from Toy Story.
I am a worry wart and a planner like him and I love the way he freaks out.
I love this picture because it was our last day in Disney
last year and this was one of the best character interaction
we had. She was sweet, conversive, and made Eli feel
special and like he was the only person she wanted to
talk to. He still talks about this!

Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):Me and my wife will be staying at POR December 9th-15th. We will be celebrating our first anniversary.

My most cherished upcoming ADR: 6:30 pm at Kona, then watching wishes from the beach at Poly.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Ice cream float from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Commando for sure.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - We have 4 ADR's and know which park we want to attend on certain days, but other than that we are going with the flow.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Probably a little tipsy at Paradiso 37 on Sunday night, then hitting as many rides as possible throughout the week.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Tigger has always been my favorite, so ill probably be bouncing from ride to ride and park to park all week.
Photo Show & Tell (tell us a bit about this 1 pic you want to share): This is my lovely wife and I at HS on our Honeymoon!

Your 3 sentence biography: I'm a 27- year old perpetual student, who is in the field of education. I've been married for three years, and our honeymoon was at Disney! I've decided I need to make a trip every year or at least every other and my goal is Disney Land for my fifth wedding anniversary!
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? Well, not Zillionth, but it'll be my fifth!
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):My mom, sister and I will be staying at POR in a royal guest room! It's just going to be a girls trip!
Why did you choose December? Partly because of the heat, or lack there of unlike summer, partly because we're all in education and this is the only time we had, and we'd never been in December and we wanted to see the decorations!!!
What are you most looking forward to? Staying in the royal guest room!
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Victoria and Albert's!!!!
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): hmmm....I don't really have anything I can think of..I'm just excited about food period, lol...
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? A mix of the two...I loosely plan.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - planned, but not to the second...the only thing we have planned are dinners and one breakfast..no rides or parks are planned...
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) probably in DHS....it's my favorite park, and I'd be on Tower of Terror!
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Tigger....I'm pretty much like that when I'm happy and especially when I'm excited!!!

First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? In between. I've been there 4 times. This is only the second time with my family.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): We will be flying in on 12/7 and departing 12/15. Our actual park days are 12/8-12/14. We're staying in a house in Windsor Hills because there are quite a few of us going--besides our family of 4, my mil & fil, and then my bil & sil and niece will be joining us Saturday through Tuesday.
Why did you choose December? My daughter's birthday is in December! We took our son for his 7th birthday in 2009, so we've been promising my daughter that we would take her for her 7th birthday.
What are you most looking forward to? Not to sound redundant, but my daughter's birthday! (12/9). She is getting princess-ified at BBB early that morning, then we have dinner planned at CRT, then the MVMCP! It will be a very busy, but I hope FUN day!
My most cherished upcoming ADR: CRT. We are going to do the birthday package with a Sleeping Beauty cake, confetti, a tiara, and a balloon. It will be like a very small birthday party.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): I tried the Dole Whip last time, and I wasn't that impressed! I read on a TR that there is a similar snack, but with orange and vanilla--like a creamsicle! I want to try that. [tofubeast says: Citrus Swirl]
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Commando--but I can only push my family so far. They are Turtles. Very laid back.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Right now it is in between. By the time we leave it will probably be planned to the second, though!
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) I'll be the one with my touring plans in hand, surging ahead, while 8 other people follow behind me.
The Disney character that is most
like me and why: Aurora. It means Dawn,

Your 3 sentence biography: I'm Michelle (37, for another month, anyways ) and am a transplanted Albertan living in Chicagoland. Married to my sweetheart, Jon (38), we have DD7, Karen, and love her to bits. I'm the operations manager here at home
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? It's my second trip to the world, DH's 7th, DD 1st!!!!!
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):This trip has been in the works for 2 years. We were all set to go last year and then our furnace went kablooie on a cold January morning and our Disney fund went with it :/ But after a year of scrimping and saving, we're ready to go! We're staying at POR Royal Room, Dec 8-15 and we'll be celebrating DD's 7th birthday. We scored the free dining plan and are planning to indulge :9
Why did you choose December? That's when we went for our honeymoon 9 years ago and loved the decorations and atmosphere - it's just so magical
What are you most looking forward to? Seeing the world through our DD's eyes. She is going to love it!
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner with Prince Charming b/c DD is going to flip out when she sees him. And if he gives her a kiss on her hand - oh boy, look out!
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Well, it use to be the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich, but we've been eyeing the cupcakes at Starring Rolls - yum!! We'll be trying those for sure!
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? It's kind of a mix. We have our days planned as to which parks, plus some ADR's, but it's not planned down to which rides first or anything like that, but I still have 3 months to plan.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Going with the flow, we aren't sure how it will go with a 7 year old, so we're going with the flow, mostly.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) If you see a group where you can't decide if the daughter or mom is more excited, that would be us!
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Goofy, because I am a bit of goof and a klutz, just like him. Plus, I like to have a lot of fun! :D
This is DH and I on our honeymoon, enjoying a carriage ride at Fort Wilderness
LisaTC
Your 3 sentence biography: Working mom with 8yr old DD 3rd grader and hard working DH. Just went to the World for the first time last year, never thought I'd EVER make it and here we are going again! The DIS was pivotal in our successful visit, to be sure.
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? Will be our second time! We surprised her with an early B-day present last October. It was heavenly. Weather perfect. We are surprising her again for a Christmas gift, although unlike last time, we will tell her the day before when she gets home from school, so she can tell us what things she ESPECIALLY wants to do. Last year was a year of firsts, first plane trip for her, first trip to FL, first trip to DW. We did MNSSHP and this year we will do MVMCP. It worked great for us. We really enjoyed it and walked on most everything we wanted to ride. I know it won't be like the first time, but I think with the Christmas decorations and she's back and never dreamed it would be so soon, will be special.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): Just made our reservation on 9/1 for 12/15-22 returning to POR and it is a Royal Room. That's all they had for FD. Oddly, it is only about $75 more than last year and we didn't stay in a royal room...weird. When I checked some neglected emails and saw that they'd extended FD a week in Dec. I began looking at my DD's school calendar and posed the idea to DH. He's so good, he never says no. Also, had a dear friend who nearly died and is living life to the fullest and decided on a whim to drive 8 hours just to eat at Boma this weekend and I was inspired!
Why did you choose December? When we went last October and saw the great decorations and attended MNSSHP, I thought how great would it be to go during December. Because of my DD's school calendar, she'll only miss 3 days and we will be home in time for Christmas!
What are you most looking forward to? Everything. When I went for the first time last year, I knew I'd like it. I didn't realize how much I'd appreciate it. I was simply astounded with the whole package, the business side, the people, everything. I loved everything about it.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Excited to go to Boma, we had to cancel it the last time because we just couldn't pull ourselves away from MK to make it in time! We lucked out because a cast member snagged a last minute 'Ohana, which my carnivore DH loved! He said that rarely happened. We walked right in and ran into somebody we new from our little town! Haven't been able to snag an 'Ohana, yet, will keep looking. Honestly, our best meal last year was Rose & Crown. We had a blast there and we even ate at Narcooses and RC was better for us.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Hmmm..probably something at Starring Rolls!
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? We're fairly commando. Thanks to the DIS we were masters for the FP and followed a TouringPlan for the most part and it worked like magic. We take breaks, but we're pretty early risers, too.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - I'm a planner. I've worked in a Research section of a Univ for too long not to be! LOL I've planned out which parks we'll be on which day, and what the ADRs are and a list of our rides/attractions. We will try and hit a few things we missed last time and eliminate some of the been there done that's. I have a feeling Splash will be ridden many times, as well as Kali. We're from Ohio...December in FL will be balmy to us!
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Running around the parks, trying to get everything in. We liked park hopping. Everyone says don't do it on your first trip, but we did. It was fun for us. I love POR, great Bloody Mary's in the bar! My DD even had a virgin one, they were impressed!
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Dori is close to my heart because she's funny and people tell me I am. She's a bit of a ditz, tho! I'm pretty level headed. I'd be a cross of Dori and Marlin!
Valgoof

Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):After much deliberation, we are staying at CSR Dec 15-22. DH and I are flying down from Ohio. We are doing MVMCP and hopefully Wishes Dessert Party.
Why did you choose December? We went last year and loved it!!! Great weather, it's Christmastime and it's Disney. What could be better??
What are you most looking forward to? I LOVE the Castle Lights and Osborne Lights. Looking forward to MVMCP-didn't do that last year.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Le Cellier for lunch and Ohana for dinner. The rest have been changed many times. Those two haven't been touched.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Looking forward to a Dole Whip Pineapple Float and many cupcakes.
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Commando early-love rope drop!! And then a bit Turtle. DH wants to play as much mini golf as possible.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - I have a list of must dos and things we missed last year, but I don't plan out the order of attractions.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) I will be running from attraction to attraction, trying to convince DH to pose for an occasional picture. I tried the matching shirts last year. Everyone had the tie-dyed shirt in my picture. I was the only one willing to wear it.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Sleepy. I love my naps on the weekends.
This is DB and I on our trip last December,
next to the oh so scenic trash can.

Your 3 sentence biography: I'm Nicole, 27, currently living outside of Atlanta after moving cross country two times in 2 years (from PA to LA to ATL). I've been with my darling BF for over 5 years. My current hobbies are scrapbooking and Disney planning!
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? This will be my 7th known trip to the World and my BF's first to Disney World.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): It's just me and BF driving to the World for December 13-19; staying at ASMusic. We've been planning this trip since October 2011!
Why did you choose December? The first reason is because BF is in veterinary school so as soon as his final exams finish, we'll be hitting the road. Secondly, in 2010 we both made an impromptu trip Disneyland mid-December and fell in love with the Christmas decorations.
What are you most looking forward to? MVMCP! (and the off chance that Edward James Olmos will be speaking at CP during our stay!)
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Biergarten!
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Prior to this trip, I never really followed Disney snacks. I remember on a childhood family trip that I whined forever for an itzakadoozie Popsicle! I cannot wait to try a dole whip! (float or no-float?)
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? More commando than turtle. I can sleep later!
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Somewhere in between-I have every ADR planned and I know where we'll be each day. I know which rides are our priorities, but I haven't scheduled our bathroom breaks-yet
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) I'll be the one drooling over all the food! popcorn:
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Merida! Okay I'm only saying that because I love and have lived in Scotland.
This is from our last Disney trip (Disneyland) in 2010. It
rained non-stop so all of our photos have us drenched
and in terrible, ugly, bright ponchos. (me in bright red
and BF in bright orange) All ya'll scrapbookers out
there will sympathize with me that it clashed with
all my patterned paper Moral of the story: get clear ponchos!
Interesting tidbit about that trip: We decided a week
before to actually go to Disneyland. I did zero planning!
I only google-mapped the directions to the park and
booked a hotel. I just made some of you break out in
a cold sweat, didn't I? We had a blast and didn't have
lines (because of the rain) but all the parades and
fireworks were cancelled. Still- a great trip! (though
Sleeping Beauty's castle really is so much smaller than Cindy's)

Your 3 sentence biography: Traveling this year is me, DH, DD7 and DD4. I went to WDW once as a child when only MK was there, DH went once as a child as well. Then in 2006 I went to a conference at the Contemporary and brought DH and our first DD who was 15 months at the time, and we got sucked in to "Disney's best kept secret" - that is how they marketed DVC at that time. We have gone every year since then. Also for this trip my Dsis (and her DH and 2 DDs) decided to visit her inlaws who live in Orlando at the same time. So we will all be together in Disney for a couple days. We will be missing my dad, who passed a year ago. I am the planner, researcher, ADR-maker, touring plan maker, etc. for this trip (ok, for all our trips )
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? In between - December will be the 8th trip.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):December 8-15 at AKV Kidani, but wait-listed for BLT. I am hoping for pixie dust with the wait list as mom will be using an ECV and it would be so much easier to deal with the buses for only DHS and AK. December 8 is my birthday and December 17 is DH's, so we will be celebrating both!
Why did you choose December? My mom is coming with us, and she wanted cool weather, I wanted low crowds. I picked December because my mom loves Christmas and all the decorations.
What are you most looking forward to? Touring with my girls. My little on is 40 inches now, so we are excited to do some of the bigger rides as a family.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: BOG of course, but also Via Napoli and the Candlelight Processional.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): What's not to love! Anything from the caramel shop, and Kaki Gori in Epcot, and popcorn from anywhere - it just tastes better at WDW!
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Commando
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - I wouldn't say down to the second, but I know where we want to go.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) getting DDs on all the rides they can and showing mom a good time.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Mrs. Potts for trying to keep everyone in line in a very nice way.
The girls at MNSSHP last year.

First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? This is our first time ever!! I know crazy right. Hubby and I have visit Florida about 7 times since 2007, but sadly we have gone everywhere but Disney. My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? I have prepared all the touring plans and etc. Depending on how crowded it is and how many things we can get done, that will sent the pace.

The Disney character that is most like me and why: Cinderella, living with all boys is a messy job, I am always cleaning. Together, we enjoy WORDS with Friends, apple picking, DISboard-ing and we have season tickets to the Boston Bruins (fat lot of good that's doing us right now).
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? For me, 2 with the family as a kid, 3 or 4 with friends as an adult (unsure, cuz Pleasure Island was still open at those times ) and this upcoming trip will be my 2nd with BDLsgal.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates):Fly out of Boston 12/6 and stay offsite that night. Check into POR-RGR 12/7. CP 12/7, Osbourne Lights 12/8, TONGA TOAST/resort hopping/MVMCP 12/9, Fantasmic! 12/10, Depart 12/13
Why did you choose December? This is our 2nd December trip because we had such and amzing time the first trip. In 2010, I surprised BDLsgal with a trip. The reason I chose December that time... At Christmas time in 2009, we watched the HGTV special Behind the Magic and her face lit up with all of the goings on at Christmas in Disney. So I made it happen so she could see them live and up close. And as an added bonus, I went down with a girlfriend and came back with a fiance'.
What are you most looking forward to? Living vicariously through BDLslil and BDLssil. They'll be experiencing WDW at Christmas for the 1st time. But first hand, I love the Candlelight Processional and Osbourne Lights. Also, this will be the 1st time any of us will be seeing Fantasmic!. Plus, I can't wait to see the Royal Guest Room.

My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? I try to be a turtle. But as time moves on down there, and there is something that we missed, I can become Tur-mando.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Outside of our ADR's and shows, it is pretty lax. We even have a completely open day on this trip.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) You'll see me decked out in local sports attire. I'll either be in Bruins or Patriots gear. I'll also be the guy with the L.L. Bean backpack with 3 ladies.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: I'd have to say Flynn Rider. Always sharing my wit and humor (whether people want it or not ) craving adventure and we both have really cool "Shaggy" goatees.
This was taken during

our MVMCP day.
Belle4311
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? I'm in the double-digits now. :-D

My most cherished upcoming ADR: Be Our Guest!

My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Somewhere in the middle and depending on the park.
I tend to be a lot more Commando in MK and more Turtle in Epcot, HS, and AK.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Somewhere in between - I have all my ADRs booked and a list of the must-sees, but I'm def not timed down to the minute. I also added an extra half-day in MK because last trip just didn't give me enough time.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Taking pics or turning into a giggly 3 year old when I see Pooh bear or Duffy. :-D
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Probably Rapunzel. I'm headstong, but a little naive sometimes. I often feel that I'm being called to something - looking for my place in the world.

My most cherished upcoming ADR: BOG. I woke up at 4am to get those reservations and I hope it's worth it!
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Believe it or not I love the big dill pickles. I am not a huge sweet fan.
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Somewhere in between.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - If I plan it down to the second I will drive myself crazy because the best laid plans....but I do have a spread sheet of day/park/parade/ADR, etc beyond that I don't plan rides, etc.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) I'll be with my son in line for one ride while my husband is across the park getting fast passes or else I am on main street people watching or shopping.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Belle-nose in a book, fascinated with historic fiction.
We were on Main street and the Dapper Dans pulled me into their group. They tried to play stump the guest but couldn't do it. They had no idea who they were dealing with! That was so fun.....

Your 3 sentence biography: My name is Terri and my family consists of DH, DSis and DS (almost 10). I work in I.T., previously a database programmer now a technical requirements analyst. My hobbies include scrapbooking, computer role-playing games (currently Mass Effect) and, of course, Disney.
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? 5th - one as a teenager and four with the family in the last two years.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): This trip was to be a Christmas present for my in-laws. They've never been and we wanted to do something nice to pay them back for everything they did to help us when we were younger. Plus I just love showing people how magical Disney can be. Unfortunately, with my FIL's recent injury, we're not sure they'll be able to go.
Why did you choose December? I wanted to be able to do all the holiday stuff, but avoid the crowds, so we're going the first two weeks of Dec.
What are you most looking forward to? Seeing the resorts with the Christmas decorations. DH and DSis got to see some of the resorts on the first trip (while I was on nap duty). But we haven't been able to squeeze them in to our more recent trips.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Either California Grill during Holiday Wishes or Rose & Crown.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Anything in Karamel Kuche.

My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Planned to the second. Even my back-up plans have back-up plans. Not that we don't ditch the plan sometimes - I just hate that indecisive "what should we do next".
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Eating our way through World Showcase and watching Illuminations. Also, behind the lens of the camera.

What are you most looking forward to? Everything Christmas - MVMCP, CP, Osborne lights, resort decorations,... And then there's FLE and TT as an added bonus :-)
My most cherished upcoming ADR: 'Ohana breakfast because we haven't eaten there in years. And also La Hacienda because that is our new-to-us restaurant this time
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): DD & I have more than we will realistically eat on our list. Mickey ice cream bars are always a must for us (like a "welcome home" treat). We'd also like to try some cupcakes and caramels (this darn thread keeps circling back to them and tempting us ). And we can't forget a popcorn bucket at MVMCP
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Somewhere in between. We generally keep moving in the parks, and have certain things we've decided ahead of time that are on our must-do list, but don't run around like loonies trying to do everything. We like to be flexible and shift gears if so desired. We know generally what rides/shows are on our to do list and will check FP and return times to be most efficient, but have an attitude of "it will always be here next time" if we don't get to something.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - We know which park on which day, have some ADRs booked as well as CP and MVMCP tix, but don't use a touring plan.

Why did you choose December? Originally I was planning on my friend Steve joining me, and his birthday is December 3rd so it was going to be a birthday gift from me to take him. I had my airline reservations already and dates off work approved when he told me he didn't think he would be able to go due to a situation with his business. So, I went ahead and just booked it anyway for myself since I had the days off and airline reservation. When I talked to him recently though he said there is a slight chance he may be able to come, so it might change back to a 2 person trip!
What are you most looking forward to? MVMCP, unless Steve can come, then I most look forward to taking him everyone and helping him fall in love with Disney too!
My most cherished upcoming ADR: No ADRs, I have free dining with Quick Service since I'm at POP. I am trying to get a CRT early morning ADR though so if I get one of those it will be that!
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Oreo cupcake that I got in Everything POP in Feb, though I like a lot of them!
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Commando, though not too crazy.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - I plan where I'm going to go each day, where I will start in each park, but I tend to go with the flow once I'm there.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) I'm always taking pictures, hundreds of them every day. Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): 12/24-12/30 at POFQ.
Why did you choose December? Well, with DD 11 in Jr High, we realized when my FIL passed away that missing school is no longer an option. It was awful to make up those three days. The Disney character that is most like me and why: Belle – I always have my nose in a book, I’m a non-conformist and I’m strong-willed.

My most cherished upcoming ADR: My Dad is not the most adventurous eater, so we are trying places that we wouldnt normally make it to when he is around, like Boma. Your 3 sentence biography: I'm Gretchen. I'm a 21 year old graduate student going for my clinical doctorate in audiology, Buffalo born and raised. Former WDWCP and current seasonal CM at Epcot.
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? Well, I've only "officially" gone on three trips, but I did work there for eight months, so I guess we'll go with zillionth.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): December 17th-21st, first time during the holidays. After switching resorts THREE times, we've settled on a courtyard view at Wilderness Lodge with the dining plan (both of these are firsts as well). I'll be traveling with my mom.
Why did you choose December? Well, I'm a student, so I had to work around that, and these dates are after finals but before the true holiday crowds kick in. We've always wanted to go visit during the holidays. This trip was originally planned for Thanksgiving weekend, but alas, I have a presentation that Monday and we wouldn't have been back in time. And I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to work for Disney, so I wanted to take advantage of my discounts one (possibly) last time.
What are you most looking forward to? We are excited for all things holiday! Honestly though, meeting Belle in her Christmas dress at MVMCP. I don't really care about the dwarves, but she's my favorite character and gosh do I love that dress.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: Hmmm...Tusker House is our only new place. I think Mom would say Olivia's Cafe, since she's never been and Old Key West (and real Key West) are places she really wants to visit.
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): Oh no, just one. Dole Whip Float! Anything from Karamell Kuche! Zebra Domes!
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? My how times have changed. When we went in 2010 we used RideMax and were planned to the second. 2011 we knew where we were going each day, but were a bit more relaxed. Then I started working there, and now I'm like, OK, let's go ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, see Fantasmic, and go home. I can do either depending on who I'm with, but if I plan to go turtle, I will go turtle and there will be no running around!
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - Go with the flow for the most part. We have ADRs planned and know which parks we want to go to. But we'll have hopping privileges and most of our times is going to be spent at various resorts looking at decorations, since we've (I at least) done very nearly every attraction in the parks multiple times.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Watching IllumiNations. Literally my favorite thing in the whole world. Alternatively, riding Soarin, ToT, and RnRC over and over and over.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Belle. 100%. We are both incredibly smart, to the point that others find us odd. We'd do anything for our families, we make friends in odd places and fall for not your typical prince. Maybe a bit of Rapunzel thrown in because I'm always chasing some seemingly impossible dream (I'm the first person in my family to be working for a doctorate).
This picture was taken March 14th during

It was a fantastic day-I had gone to the

explored the F&GF, had lunch at Chefs
de France, and then went to MK for Wishes
and the Electrical Parade.

I have a fascination with: old airline/ocean liner history, modern ruins, NY World's Fair, vintage Disney Parks, and 60s era futurism and I am a HUGE U2 fan.
First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? This will be my 8th trip to WDW. First time was back in '90 when my parents took me to EPCOT CENTER and the ol' Downtown Disney. Having grown up with Disneyland since I lived in L.A., my parents allowed me to pick between EPCOT and MK. We only had a short time in Orlando that trip. I'm glad I picked EPCOT as it was so different from DL, and plus I got to see the now-gone classics like Horizons and WoM.
Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): Second week of March. This is the March Roll Call, right? haha. Second week of December. As we knew we wanted to do this trip quite a long time ago, we rented DVC points and are staying at BCV. I am super excited to be a hop, skip, and a jump from EPCOT. This is a big trip for us because : 1. We haven't really been on vacation since I got pregnant back in early 2010. 2. Most importantly, this will be DD's first trip see the parks. She's two, and I can't wait to see it all through her eyes. The first of many trips to come!
Why did you choose December? Christmas is the only season I have not experienced at WDW, so we are super excited. Years ago, I did Disneyland around Christmas, but as I was so young, I don't remember all that much. I am also looking forward to the mild temperatures as well and (perhaps) lower crowds.
What are you most looking forward to? Again, experiencing all those important firsts with our DD such as riding Dumbo, PP, and IaSW. Like many of you, I have been monitoring the FLE construction like a hawk, so I can't wait to finally see it all with my own eyes. I have also never gone to MVMCP or MNSSHP, so I can't wait to finally get to party it up with Mickey. I am going to be a cry baby when I see the toy soldiers march down the street. Also, my DD will be getting her first haircut at Harmony barber shop, so that will be special too.
My most cherished upcoming ADR: For this trip, we are going to some old favorites and new places as well. Of course, I am most excited about Be Our Guest. I am also looking forward to trying out 'Ohana for dinner and Tusker House for lunch. Those will be first dining visits as well!
Favorite Disney snack (or for those who haven't been, what you most look forward to snacking on): I love me a Dole Whip, churro, and cotton candy. There are MANY snacks I want to try this trip such as having a salted caramel from Karamell Kuche, a classic Citrus Swirl, and school bread in Norway. I have a list of snacks to try, and we'll see how many items we actually get through.
My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Normally, are are commandos. I've used RideMax in the past. We love skipping the lines and making the most of our time. HOWEVER, with a 2 year old in tow this time, we are trying to be a little more realistic. We might have times we are commando such as at rope drop, but we also plan to slow down and soak it all in.
My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - It's pretty planned in that we know what parks we'll visit on what day etc. We have ADRs every day. While I will be using touringplans to come up with some ride order strategies, as I said above, we will also have moments where we just go with the flow. DH and I have pretty much been on all the rides before, so this trip is about DD and seeing some of the stuff we've skipped in the past such as Turtle Talk and the Festival of the Lion King.
How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Taking pictures like some insane paparazzi. At the same time, I will probably be 'that' woman crying constantly. I know I will be a mess taking my daughter on the FL rides. Someone, pinch me! I can also be spotted proudly in Mickey ears and sporting my favorite pins.
The Disney character that is most like me and why: Jiminy Cricket. I'm a fair's fair kinda person. I should have been a Judge. I also can relate a lot to Merida. Girl power!
This is a photo of DH and I at MK back in 2007. Probably didn't need to clarify that it was in MK as the Castle makes it just slightly obvious. I saw someone on the Dis with a similar picture and knew I wanted to copy it! I am hoping we can do an updated picture this coming trip with our DD as well!
