FRIDAY, June 2nd PRIDE MARCH
3:00 - Teams will be called down to exit the building at specific locations. PRIDE Swag passes around!
3:10 - We will march around the building to the back hill for a School Photo!
(Staff, check instructions for this.)
3:20 - We end the day with a dance and popsicles in the shade!
What is powerful about being an LGBTQ+ ally?
Civil rights movements are successful when people from nearly every part of society stand shoulder-to-shoulder to fight bias.
Making the world safer and fairer for LGBTQIA+ people will take the effort and understanding of all people from all walks of life, of all genders and sexual orientations.
Many people understand that supporting fairness and equality for LGBTQ+ people does not mean that a person is LGBTQ+ — it means that a person values respect and acceptance for all people.

Talking about your LGBTQ+ friends and how you appreciate them.
Mentioning LGBTQ+ news in a supportive way.
Challenging bias when you hear it, even when people are “joking”.
When with LGBTQ+ Friends & Family…
Showing interest in the lives of your LGBTQ+ loved ones.
Including the partners of your LGBTQ+ friends in activities.
Attending celebrations and LGBTQ+ community events.
Believing & respecting people when they share their labels or identities.
When On Your Own…
Posting a supportive message on social media.
Getting involved with pro-LGBTQ+ groups and campaigns.
Contacting elected officials about LGBTQ+ rights.
Standing up for LGBTQ+ issues, even when there are no LGBTQ+ people there to watch.
