This session is about supporting
all children’s writing, language, and
vocabulary.
Think about:
The writing you’ve been doing with your child at home.
What have you been writing together?
What has your child enjoyed the most?
What have you enjoyed the most?
If you want your child to be a writer, you and your family must be writers, too.
Talk to your child about what you’re writing.
Think about:
The writing your child sees you do.
Does your child know what you’re writing and why you’re writing it?
How could you share your writing with your child? What might you say?
Books can be models for writing.
Songs can be rewritten.
