What is CTE?

CTE stands for Career Technical Education

CTE classes are educational pathway courses that focus on a specific industry field ex: education, medical, financial, etc.

CTE classes prepares students for high wage, high skill, high demand careers in established & emerging industries

In these classes, students learn real life technical skills based on industry standards

Pathway Courses

Exploring Computer Science Exploring Computer Science is a yearlong course consisting of 6 units, approximately 6 weeks each; Human Computer Interaction, Problem Solving, Web Design, Programming, Computing and Data Analysis, and Robotics.

AP Computer Science Principles uses code.org to traverse the major components of computer science, starting with the internet, moving through programming and finishing with robotics.

AP Computer Science A is both a college-prep course for potential computer science majors and a foundation course for student planning to study in other technical fields such as engineering, physics, chemistry and geology. Uses Java programming language.
