Academic misconduct policy

What does Academic Integrity look like at EMS?

Honesty: Students follow their teachers' guidance and expectations for all assessments in line with CAIE exam guidance, only submitting original work and completing individual assessments independently

Trust: Students complete all assignments by the set deadlines according to their teachers' instructions

Respect: Students are consistent and accurate in citing the work of others, using the prescribed referencing method according to the CAIE guidance, keeping classwork and academic materials private and not sharing these without their teacher's permission

Fairness: Students follow EMS rules and CAIE guidance by not trying to gain unfair advantage during assessments (eg copying, using mobile devices etc)

Responsibility: Students complete work to their best ability, seeking help from their teachers where needed

Courage: Students are brave and stand up for what is right by alerting their teachers, Admin or any other staff member at EMS if they think someone has committed an academic offence or misconduct

Please visit our school’s Secondary Google Site for more information.
